The Obsessed Writers Group

A gathering place for new or seasoned writers

The Contest Connection

Entering writing contests is a great way to build upon your writing skills and venture in genres you might not normally write in. When entering a contest, ensure that you have followed the contest rules. Always pay the exact entry fee, if not your entry will not be read. It is surprising how many writers submit great entries but don't pay the submission fees. Be assured, it doesn't matter how fantastic your entry is, it will not be read if the entry fee is not enclosed. Carefully proofread your entry for typing or grammatical errors. Have someone else give your submission a final read before submitting.

In this section, you will find links to various contests and genres. Some contests will require an entry fee whilst others may be free. Check back often to discover new contests. You will also find contest listings under the appropriate heading in the forum.  Good Luck!
