Isn't this spiffy?

Hi there, welcome to my non-blog site.  I'm not sure what I will use it for, but better to be prepared than...well, not prepared. :)  Okay, drumroll please...this is me!  It wouldn't show up on Blogger, so I hope it will here. I'll be back later to...ah...do whatever it is that you do to free websites.

New York, New York, it's a wonderful town...where the people ride in a hole in the ground...

Various and assorted black and white pictures of my New York trip.  First up: The Chrysler Building. (::sings Annie:: "Till it shiiiiines, like the top of the Chrys-ler Build-ing!")

The Plaza.  Which, all in all, can be summed up in one word: Gaudy.  The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that there were clashing patterns EVERYWHERE.  I never imagined you could have so many fighting colors in one lobby.  Pastel flower arrangement, Oriental rug, striped wallpaper.  The outside is much more attractive.

I love this next one.  I cannot remember which building it is, but I practically laid down on the sidewalk to get the flag in it.

The next one is the market on 57th that I simply fell in love with.  I went there with Cassie nearly everynight to get pretzels, cream cheese, and six-packs of coke.  (They didn't sell it in twelve.)

This was also a favorite picture.  This man was standing on this bridge in Central Park looking at a Polaroid picture he had in his hands.  He looked very sad.  He looked young...

Our spiffy duds.

Me and Alex before we left for the cruise.  Very blurry, thanks to a cheap photo editor.

Planet Hollywood has great burgers.

Me and Cassie at Planet Hollywood near Times Square...that little dude is just too cute - we had to take a picture with him.  But like most guys, you can't tell until you look real close that he's got a hole the size of a beach ball in the top of his head.  I think he used to be a straw holder.

Me, the tourist.  I love this picture...and looking out into the harbor from Liberty Island was amazing.  Not to mention Fleet Week, so there were a substantial amount of ships out there.
