What Does an Interact Club Do?

Interact gives young people an opportunity to participate in fun, meaningful service projects and Interact Clubs organize a variety of activities and programs depending on the interests of club members. Service Above Self is Rotary’s foremost guiding principle and an Interact Club’s service projects are designed to improve the quality of life at home and abroad.  In the process, club members develop their leadership skills and initiative while meeting new friends.

Interact Member Points

To be an active rotary club member and be recognized you have to have:

  • 30 points
  • At least 4-5 hours of volunteering

Upcoming points YOU can earn:

  • Every general/mass meeting will be 2 points. There are eight in this year’s schedule; there can be an accumulation of up to 16 points. You may miss one or two but you can still earn more than half your points this way!
  • Old Bridge Day- 1 point per hour—the day is long.
  • Friendly’s/Friday’s Fun Night- 2 points plus 1 per person you bring (same for Cold Stone)
  • Food Drive- every ten cans you bring is 4 points (other drives may be less amount of things to bring in; but the points will remain three per number)
  • Bake Sale- you can participate in these in two different ways—either sell the baked goods or bake them! 2 points per batch of baked goods and 2 points for selling them.
  • Volunteer activities: 1 points per hour; this is an easy way to accumulate points.
