MEETING: October 20, 2009
At the meeting, we will be PUMPKIN PAINTING. These painted pumpkins will be donated to Raritan Bay Medical Center and will be used to decorate the hospital and lift the spirits of those who cannot leave the hospital during the season.
You will receive 1-2 hours at this meeting. So don't forget to come 
In addition, upcoming activites such as tutoring, volunteering at the library, our last fall beach sweep, and the food drive will be discussed.

Interact is a club like no other. It's actually a Rotary-sponsored service and social club for young adults ages 13-18. Its name is derived from the words “international” and “action” reflecting the nature of the organization, which has some 9000 clubs in over 110 countries and a total membership exceeding 200,000. All Interact Clubs are self-governing and self-supporting and promote service in local communities and abroad!

INFORMATION from year before: The First Annual Charity Snow-Ball is held. Manalapan High School, Freehold High School, Matawan Regional High School, East Brunswick High School, Marlboro High School, and Sayreville High School will also be attending the event. Tickets cost $4 or $5 if you buy at the door. Proceeds go to United Way, the Afghani Women, and Afghani Children. Complimentary refreshments will be served and the DJ will be taking requests all night. A dance contest will be held as well. Points will be awarded to schools, and the school with the most points wins $200 for their club. Each sold ticket is worth 2 points. Tickets sold at the door are worth 1 point. And the winner of the dance contest gets 10 points for their school. Old Bridge profits went to Rotoblast.

Interact gives young people an opportunity to participate in fun, meaningful service projects and Interact Clubs organize a variety of activities and programs depending on the interests of club members. Service Above Self is Rotary’s foremost guiding principle and an Interact Club’s service projects are designed to improve the quality of life at home and abroad. In the process, club members develop their leadership skills and initiative while meeting new friends.
