Old Berkeley Cricket Club

Welcome to the 2005 edition of the Old Berkeley CC website.

The original founding of OBCC is lost in the mists of time (or an alcoholic haze), but it has been around for about 50 years, and some of the playing sides have come from successive generations. The club has a strong family tradition, and can often feature players from retirement age right down to young teenagers - why not have a look at our player profiles.

We only play Sunday friendly matches between end April and mid-September – we prefer the relaxed but competitive nature of such games. Many of our fixtures have been established for decades now, but we are always looking for new teams to play, and new places to visit.

Our pride is our home ground, which is kindly loaned to us by our President Mr James Cripps. The beautiful setting provides a perfect backdrop for the  classic British village cricket scene, as seen in the picture below. And our local drinking establishment, the Prince of Wales, can be found a short 100 metre walk from the ground. Detailed directions and a map can be found on the location page of this site.

We hope you find our website interesting and useful. If you have any ideas or suggestions, or if you want to get in touch about a match, then why not email us using the links on the contact page of the site. We would be pleased to hear from you !!

We are members of the club cricket conference - here's a link to their website cricket conference.
