Oakham British Shorthair Cats

We are a small hobby breeder of The British Shorthairs based in Oakham in the West Midlands , we are members of the British Shorthair Cat Club & proud to be members of The Best of British Shorthair Breeders Group .

Like most we fell in love with these big Teddy bear's of the cat world and as they say the rest is history .

We currently have 3 young queens who share our home (or maybe it's the other way round) . We also have a wonderful Blue stud boy ! Our boy has his own heated cattery with a seperate room should he wish to entertain the ladies .

Our aim is to maintain and develop the breed , we are not into experimental or trial breeding ! Quality and type is more important as this is why we fell in love with The British Shorthairs in the first place .

We sometimes have kittens available to loving pet homes (see Nursery page) . If you are looking for Show/breed kittens please be honest and upfront as not all kittens will be suitable .

We will be showing our cats / kittens from 2008 and will post notes and results in the show page and maybe we will see you there for a cat chat .

Like most breeders we owe a debt of gratitude to a fellow Cat nut . We would like to take this opportunity to say a great big thanks to our friend Maggie Cole , as without her endless & tireless support we would not be custodians of these wonderful creatures .
