Who we are

This site is dedicated to my clan, Nyx. If you're unaware of the meaning, go to Wikipedia.com. =)
There have been several uncomfortable events leading to our name change. If for some reason you come across various sites concerning the, Rose Fang Clan, then that is also part of us. We have gone through several disturbing incidents. We had an embecile in our clan that needed to be exiled. He, Richard Anderson, had in fact, dishonored us all and violated our name. There are eight of us in this clan; six of us live in the United States, one in Australia, and the other lives in Belgium. He and his mentor there, opened a house. Though it is branched off of us, I am unaware of how many we have there.

Our Vision

A vision is an image of a desired reality. It may cover up to 15-20 years. Typical questions addressed in formulating a vision are: What do we want to be? What do we want to create? What's the difference we want to make in the lives of our readers and fellow kindred?

Nyx's Vision: Throughout this site and fellowship with our clan, we hope you explore and find information that answers your needs that enrich your life and our community's life, today and tomorrow.

Our Mission

A mission is a statement of purpose and persons benefited. Typical questions answered by the mission include: Why do we exist? What's the business we're in?

Nyx's Mission: To be our community's leader (in the following areas) in encouraging and promoting safe and valued information, reading, literacy, and lifelong learning.

Our Values

Values are unchanging, constant beliefs and norms that underlie the vision. Typical questions include: What kind of culture do we want to create? How do we want to act towards the external and internal environments?

Nyx's Values:

1. Respect for all. We treat all of our visitors, and each other, as valued, responsible individuals.
2. Service. We provide services that respond to changing and diverse needs.
3. Integrity. We follow the highest ethical standards of honesty and openness.
4. Fiscal accountability. As a public website and as a clan following the rules of the vampiric community, we practice sound fiscal management in our site and within the interior and exterior surroundings of our clan.
5. Confidentiality. We safeguard all users' rights to request and obtain information in confidence, within state and federal statutes. We do not give out information of anyone, so please do not ask.
6. Parental responsibility. We expect parents to guide and supervise their children's use of this site. We do not serve in loco parentis, as a substitute for parents.
7. Professional growth. The clan and staff members of this site mutually commit to their continuous professional development. We are responsible and mature adults, not children with over-active imaginations trying to be something that we're not.
