 Arctic Coast
Mystic Aquarium currently holds ten beluga whales. Seven of them are visitng from the Shedd Aquarium when their exhibit is under renovation. Inuk, the original male of Mystic, is on loan from Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma, Washington. These whales are swimming in a natural habitat and participate in daily interaction programs.

 Probilof Islands
There are three species of pinnipeds: Steller sea lions, northern fur seals and harbor seals. Kodiak, one of the Steller sea lions, weighs about 1,700 pounds!

A close up view of the Black-footed penguins. Mystic Aquarium also offers penguin contact programs, which people can meet them face to face and have an opportunity to pat them.

Interaction programs and Touch pools
Mystic Aquarium offers a lot of opportunity for people to meet animals face to face. Beluga Contact Program allows you to meet one of the beluga whales and do some of the fun behaviors such as suction, jacuzzi and splash. Though the price is quite expensive for a 20-minute encounter with a whale, free interactions can be done in Hidden Amazon exhibit with sea stars, lizards and crabs. Ray Touch Pool is one popular place for everyone to get an idea of what they feel like.

 Marine Theater/Hidden Amazon
The same building with Marine Theater on the upper level and Hidden Amazon on the lower level. Marine Theater features California sea lions, an educational demonstrations about marine life and seals.
