The Civil Air Patrol's Emergency Services program is one of three tasked to us under our charter. It's primary function is Search and Rescue which involves both senior and cadet members.
Whenever an emergency beacon is activated by an aircraft, boat or person, CAP is notified to begin a search for it.
CAP assists FEMA and other emergency organizations in disasters.
CAP aircraft are also used to fly observation missions over critical sites.
