Overview

The Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program is designed to train, educate and prepare young men and women between the ages of 12 and 18 to become leaders in their country and community. While similar to the Boy Scout and Girl Scouts organizations in having achievements and activities, the CAP Cadet program combines Aerospace Education and Emergency Services training with Leadership, Moral Leadership, Safety and Physical Fitness testing to provide the all around experience needed to produce effective, knowledgeable leaders. Cadet earn rank as they progress through their achievements and are assigned staff positions requiring them to lead, teach and mentor newer cadets.
