 The Northwestern CT AIDS Project (NCAP) was founded in 1985 by Gerard Wagner. Gerard started a information hotline, run out of his own kitchen; answering questions, soothing fears and offering directions to people who had nowhere else to go for comfort or for help. For over 23 years, at the start of ths epidemic, it has been our honor and our privilege to provide quality HIV/AIDS care and services to residents in Torrington and Litchfield County. 

Our Mission has been dedicated to increasing public understanding of HIV disease through community outreach, prevention education, testing, and support services, while also embracing the diversity of all whom we seek to serve.
