Her childhood friend, Emily (Misty Mundae) tries to free her from the grasp of her egotistical brother. Melantha Blackthorne is a talented, upcoming actress whose recent credits
include Paul W.S. Anderson's (Soldier, Resident Evil) 'Death Race',
produced by Paula Wagner. Melantha plays the role of Pachenko's (Max Ryan)
navigator who is Jason Statham's (Crank, Transporter) driving nemesis.
Together this evil duo cause no end of problems for Statham's character.
Melantha's most recent project is a starring turn in Sean Michael Argo's
'Teeth of Beasts', produced by Medicine Show Cinema. In this futuristic
indie actioner, Melantha plays the role of mercenary sorceress Lilith Noir
who is a cross between Bruce Willis’ character in Last Man Standing and
Keira Knightly in ‘Domino’.
Melantha has also starred in such films as 'Aversion’, 'Prison Of The
Psychotic Damned', 'Countess Bathoria's Graveyard Picture Show' and many
more!
As a young girl Melantha was always writing little horror stories and
eventually borrowed her father’s video camera to create mini home movies.
As she grew, her taste for horror evolved into something of a fetish and
she began exploring new and unique ways of expressing herself. In 1999 she
created the web character Countess Bathoria that quickly gained popularity
and legions of fans. Melantha's eminence in the genre has now made its way
to the big screen, and is increasing her demand as a performer .
Melantha also co own Robomonkey Productions, which released her
directorial debut 'Sinners and Saints' and most recent atrocity 'Inbred
and Undead', receiving much critical acclaim from numerous horror
magazines and websites.
Melantha is also a well-known horror and fetish model, strutting her
voluptuous figure through the pages of many magazines, calendars and
webzines. She is now slated to appear in NVF Magazine's upcoming book, HOT & Horrifying: The 1st Ladies of Horror, to be released next March! For more updates, go here HOT & HORRIFYING

Lange, Jarrod Crooks, Phil Berbig, Nicole Blessing, Shannon McDonough, and Stuart G. Murphy Also Starring: Dan Quaile, Crystal Hipple, Moni Chakra, Eric "Pogi" Sumangil, and Cassie McCloud Special Guest Appearances by Mark Borchardt and Lloyd Kaufman Log Line: A young woman and her friends are terrorized by an escaped killer her father prosecuted 20 years ago. IMDB Info: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1160376 / About the film: The film was written in 2002 when Ric was living in Los Angeles, and is based on another screenplay Ric wrote in 2000. It was written and conceived as an homage to the iconic horror films of the 60's and 70's, an idea that came long before the "Grindhouse" resurgence, and one which focuses more on the classic cinema elements of films from that age rather than the exploitation aspect that some films employed and the new-age Grindhouse films emphasize. Not including research and outlining, the first draft was written in two days with a bottle of Jack. There are several homages and references to classic films and icons, both famous and infamous, such as Ed Wood, Citizen Kane, Halloween, Cape Fear, Jaws, Vertigo, Never Talk To Strangers, The Player, My Bloody Valentine, and countless others. In the end, Unholy Reunion will be a trilogy of films. Also, since Ric is a die hard believer in Fair Use and against DRM (Digital Rights Management), he wants to get the film "into the hands of the fans." With that said, he plans on giving away the standard definition print of the film to either the public domain or with an open Creative Commons license. For now Ric will keep the rights to the HD print and future "director's cuts", and to any special features, but that may change at any time. Director Information: (written in the third person because it sounds more official that way) Ric McCloud was born and raised in the Twin Cities, graduating from Cooper High School (at the same time Steve Zahn attended). For the last 18 years Ric has been a standup comedian, performing over a thousand shows in 16 states, at venues including the L.A. Improv, The World Famous Comedy Store, The Comedy Gallery, Minnesota Comedy Club, Knuckleheads, and Acme. In 1992 he was an extra for Dario Argento's "Trauma" (produced in Minneapolis). Later he appeared (again as background, uncredited) in Stephen Spielberg's "Catch Me If You Can" and HBO's "Six Feet Under". His principle acting credits include the 2007 short film "The Battle For Love" and the feature film "Thieves Like Us" from director Jarrod Crooks and scheduled for release in 2009. "Unholy Reunion" is Ric's directorial debut. Ric has a B.A. in Psychology from Metropolitan State University and is currently pursuing his law degree. Terror Overload – Tales from Satan's Truck Stop is a smorgasbord of current indie horror veterans all rolled up into one completely insane exploitation horror anthology that will need to be seen to be believed! Synopsis: In the wrap around story called "Devil Driver", a creepy truck driver tells a trilogy of terrifying tales to a sexy stranded hitchhiker that include "Dinner Date", "Lot Lizard" and "Mongo Chupa"! She has no idea what this ride has in store for her...or does she? Helming Terror Overload is a group of Minnesota based filmmakers including NFTS Productions very own Producer/Director Jason Stephenson (Pajama Party Massacre, Doomed to Consume, Off the Beaten Path) along with good friends (and people Stephenson has worked with in the past) first time Producer/Directors Kevin Myhre (who did FX on Pajama Party Massacre and Doomed to Consume) and Brant Johnson who had a small but bloody good role as a zombie in "Doomed to Consume" as well. Jason Stephenson has been plugging away with NFTS Productions now for close to 6 years and has met a lot of really great people that are just as excited about horror films as he is. He thought it might be time to venture out into unfamiliar territory with Terror Overload and have it be an entirely new entity instead of another NFTS Productions movie. When Jason, Kevin and Brant started throwing ideas around for Terror Overload, it was initially intended as a fun way to shoot a few short films with some friends who wanted to learn how to put a movie together and then tie them into one feature length horror anthology. But moving forward from its simple conception close to a year ago, Terror Overload has since evolved into something far more than that. Terror Overload features an eclectic group of cast members including such people as sick and twisted horror author Joe Knetter (Pajama Party Massacre, Doomed to Consume) who pulls double duty as writer/actor, First Jason’s Ari Lehman (Friday 13th, ThanXgiving) sultry scream queens Scarlet Salem (Tales of the Dead, Pajama Party Massacre), Rachel Grubb (13 Hours in a Warehouse, Tales of the Dead, Doomed to Consume), model/actress Nicole (Nikki Homicide) Kruex, bodybuilder Marv Blauvelt (Beef, Sculpture), Chase Ambose (Cutting Room), Landyn Banx (Tales of the Dead), former prowrestler Mike (Gator McGraw) Kinney and first timers John "Bud" Knetter and Leah Avery. Writing duties where handled by Joe Knetter, Dustin LaValley and Robbie Ribspreader, all of which Stephenson has worked with on past projects. In the Make-up and FX department... Kevin Myhre did everything for the segments "Dinner Date" and "Lot Lizard" and Tim & Lisa over at Haunted Autumn Productions (out of Minnesota as well) took care of everything in "Mongo Chupa"! The wrap around segment "Devil Driver" is yet to be determined! They've been plugging along this summer (2008) and have three of the four segments completed and a shooting schedule for the final wrap around story “Devil Driver” set for the tail end of September! So yea, everyone is excited that things are coming along as great as they are and that the movie is shaping up to be one down and dirty exploitation horror film that pulls no punches! We'd hate to give away all the fine details, but genre fans that love their ultra-low-budget exploitation horror flicks loaded with over the top blood, boobs, gore, sex, creatures, sleaze and a bunch of other crazy stuff will not be disappointed with Terror Overload! RALAN'S VIEW
During my visits to various market web sites around the Internet I notice a lot of things. Some good, some indifferent, and some bad. A trend that has grown huge is the proliferation of advertisements. These are most prevalent on web sites that are hosted for "free" -- that word being in quotes because the payment is actually that the site owner allows the free web host to place ads in a prominent place on every one of his/her pages.
This in itself is not such a bad thing. Some site owners contract to have these ads on their pages in order to generate income. I can't knock that. As I understand it, the ads are normally geared to the type of content found on the site, but I'm told by those who do this that the contract allows the site owner to ban certain ads or types of ads.
That's a very good thing because when it comes to the young and/or inexperienced writers, some of those ads should not be displayed at all. Ads may be about poetry "contests" that are nothing but money traps (I have nothing against legitimate poetry contests, of course), "get published quick" schemes designed to either procure free content or separate the writer from his wallet, and certain literary agencies and/or editors -- some new and some with a long history of swindling unsuspecting writers.
Site owners should make sure that the ads they allow on their web site are only ones they know and feel comfortable with.
But there's another kind of ad deal -- and this one does not allow the site owner to decide. This is a condition that some free web hosts impose on their clients. For example, one of these has this condition in their terms: "(name of web host) provides 100MB of free web space thanks to the sponsorship of our advertisers. In return, each page that you create will have banner advertisements automatically inserted into it (at minimum, one banner per page at the top of each viewable browser window). You may not remove, resize so as to render invisible or unreadable, or otherwise block any of the advertisements that (the web host) inserts onto your web pages;"
Their ads frequently display some of those I mention above, and there is no way to hide or remove them.
When I'm approached by a new publication wanting to be listed at Ralan.com, the first thing I do is check out the web site thoroughly. I have a number of conditions that must be met before I'll post a listing. Publishers who have ads are checked for links to inappropriate, if not downright illegal, goods and services. Those who use one of the free web hosts who do not allow the owner to choose which ads to exclude are turned down. For every new market I read the terms and conditions of the host, searching for a clause like the one above. If I find the clause, and the market still wants to be listed at Ralan.com, I require them to either change to a paid ad-free web site, or find a free web host that either doesn't have ads at all or allows the owner to ban some ads (but don't ask me, I don't which ones those are).
I urge all site owners to be aware of what's displayed on their web site, not only the content they upload themselves, but also whatever else might be placed there by second or third parties. Like it or not, we are all involved with the security of those who visit our pages.
And because things can change after I've listed a market (and there are too many to check myself!), if you happen to visit a web site you find at Ralan.com, and notice an ad that might be questionable, please e-mail me with the market, which page (4theLuv, Paying, Semi & Pro, etc.) it is on, and the ad you suspect. If called for, I'll contact the web site owner and tell them about it -- your name won't enter into it.

McCarty said McLaughlin initially turned down his request to co-author because of solo projects McLaughlin had in the works, but after seeking his assistance on “Monster Behind the Wheel,” they joined forces. McCarty said McLaughlin’s help turned the book from fright to fun.
“The book, up to that point, was a dark and scary book, and I think it was really hard for me to write,” McCarty said. “Mark started adding humor and funny passages, and from then on I became more comfortable with the book. It made it easier to digest.”
McLaughlin, a Bram Stoker Award-winner for his science-fiction and horror writing, continues to work on solo projects while leaving time to collaborate with McCarty.
“I’m a very full-steam-ahead kind of person, and I collaborate best with other full-steam-ahead type of persons,” McLaughlin said. “Finding a collaborator that’s fun to work with is worth its weight in gold.”
For McCarty, ideas are just as valuable and not in short supply. The idea for “Monster Behind the Wheel” was born after he attended a car show at which he sat behind the wheel of a black 1970 Barracuda.
“When I heard that thing roar to life, I thought, ‘This thing could eat “Christine” (the car in a famous horror novel by Stephen King) for breakfast,’ ” McCarty joked. “It just had so much power to it, and I thought, ‘Wow, if this thing was haunted, it could do a lot of damage.’ ”
Though his 2008 successes seem to have come naturally, McCarty’s scheduling and time management is no easy task. He begins work at Augustana at
“It’s not like I can’t do both,” he said. “I think I like the idea of both because it gives me a Dr Jekyll-and-Mr. Hyde kind of thing. During the day, I work my job, and at night I write scary books. I could see doing both for a long time.”
His drive comes not only from his interest in writing but also from some good advice he was given by other sci-fi and horror authors while compiling his interview series, “Giants of the Genre.”
“Ray Bradbury (one of the most famous of all sci-fi authors) told me you have to read twice more than you write,” McCarty said. “If you don’t see me writing, I’m probably reading.” He said he dabbles in sci-fi and horror books when he’s not writing his own, but also enjoys nonfiction as a vacation of sorts from the fantasy worlds.
In the meantime, McCarty continues to map out ideas, work as a contributor for Science Fiction Weekly, a leading electronic publication, and hopes to continue his writing schedule for years to come.
“I feel like I’m taking baby steps,” he said, especially when comparing his with the careers of other writers in the genre. “I see this as a long career, and I see there’s no shortcuts.”

She also designed make-up for the Bled White Zombies.
Producer’s statement: I’m very grateful to have this opportunity to work with such talented artists. This is not just any horror film; it’s a movie about life and death, but most of all, survival. Hopefully, your experience with “Bled White” will make you think about how important it is to love what you have, and what you don’t love, you will change. “Bled White” adds a new word to the “horror genre.”Film festival award winner Jose Carlos Gomez has produced, written, and directed three short films and one full feature, besides working on other productions. More information can be found at skibofilms.com
Director’s statement: Bled White was born out of a desire to work with Kelli. After we agreed to collaborate on a film, I drove back home and brain stormed all night for a story to write. Seven days later I presented the new screenplay, Bled White, to Kelli. I drew inspiration from such films as Carnival of Souls, Pulp Fiction, The Shining, and, of course, Night of the Living Dead. These films have left a great impression on me. They’re the type of films I respect for their ability to transport you to world you don’t want to live in, but love to visit. I believe Bled White will do this.
Together, Kelli and Jose, will work on other short and full feature film projects. Both will participate on 2008 film project titled, THE DISAPPEARED, written and directed by Jose C. Gomez, and produced by Juan J. Frausto of Vendetta Pictures.
Future projects will require the talents of local film crews and actors. We want to share our passion for storytelling with other artists to help create amazing films.
Thank you for your help and please check back for opportunities.
