A podcast is like a radio show that you download to your computer.
Once on your computer, you can play podcasts directly or transfer them to an mp3 player, such as an iPod.
Like radio shows, podcasts can cover any subject or genre of music and are available free. The difference is that with podcasting you can listen to shows from across the whole world, and, because you download them, you can listen whenever and wherever you want.
What makes podcasts really special is that they are grouped into channels (just like radio shows appear on a radio station's channel).
It's easy to subscribe to podcast channels and once subscribed, your computer will begin automatically check back to see if new podcasts are available and download them for you if they are. No need to keep checking back to see if updates are available.
Stage 1:
I think it’s time that I made a New NutCast Ep.
Stage 2:
I then think and find out if I need to make a specialist show (I.e Christmas, Summer show or something.) if it’s not specialist show, I start to think of things to shove into a normal NutCast show .
Stage 3:
SONGS! I go on a long search for songs most NutCast songs come from “Podsafe Music”
And sometimes on the vary odd occasion I’ll have a song from a underground band, or a friends band.
If not then it’s something I’ve made for somewhere like college.
Stage 4:
If anything needs to be scripted, it gets scripted! (I.E if I’m using a guest I’ll have show notes or a script)
Stage 5:
Now Armed with Songs and other bits I begin production to the show! This takes some time, Remember folks this is where the most love is put into the show! It’s sounds easy take the speech and whack it together with the theme and a few jingle type things, mix in a bit of music, other speech content, allow to Wav or Mp3 for 20 – 40 Min and then listen to the mix and see if there are any faults that may need correcting.
Stage 6:
Now with the show finished all that’s left is to upload it to the internet. This being the cherry on our little cake! I upload it using podOmatic allow this to upload for 20-50 mins and there you go finished
Stage 7:
Tell all your mates! Post messages on the web! Then watch your listener rating wonder up!
Stage 8:
Have your self a nice long cuppa tea and relax thinking that somewhere your podcast is on a mp3, iPod or something somewhere then start thinking what should I do to make the show better.
ALL DONE! =]
