Alhamdullilah, Assault, Nullified & Coventide came together as 1 Metal Supergroup to raise fund for the Arts For Us all & Singapore Group Of Elders. The location was at outside exit C of Chinatown MRT. The weather was sunny.  Assault/Nullfied decided to play clean for this event & use only clean vocals. This did not do well with Hanesh which was his last session before he leave for O Levels. The overall sound, was good but the most audinece did not enjoy the performance at all. They started to leave after Only For The Weak. There were no major errors that day. Coventide had a better outing that day. They played 3 songs, use distotion but clean vocals.  They has more audience cheering for them compared to Assault/Nullified.

The bands would like to thank Arts For Us All (Jazlyn & Erica)  who were in charge of organising this performance & confirming us the slot & the sound mixers that day.

This was the first ever free & public performance for Assault & Nullified. They were nervous. The location was at Wheelock Place. It rained heavily so Tapestry day managers decided to delay the event for 30 mins & cut short playing time to 25 mins.The overall sound, however was not good. Iyan's guitar volume is louder then Hanesh's. Clarance could not even hear what he sang. Interactivity with the audience was quite poor too. Most of the audience could not appreciate the style of music we were playing. Alhamdulillah, there were no major errors that day. Artifacts Of The Black Rain was not played due to lack of time. Some friends of Assault & Nullified like ballads such as Come Clarity & Cross My Heart & Hope To Die more than the heavier songs.

Well, to sum things up, lets quote from Jack Black in the movie " School Of Rock ", He said " Its a long way to the top, if you wanna rock & roll! "
The band would like to thank Allah, the Tapestry team for organising this event & selecting us during the auditions process, our family & friends who came down & support us.

This is the last practice session combined with Coventide before Sunday's Tapestry 07 performance. Farhan did not turn up due to police work. Although Farhan was not there, the band could still coordinate well in all songs. Overall, it was successful practice & had no major problems

Well, Hanesh got chickenpox this week so he did not turn up for jamming.The session ended 30 minutes early to save cost. The band wished him a fast recovery. Although Hanesh was not there, the band could still coordinate well. There were no major problems. Farhan improvised the guitar solo of Only For The Weak by singing a vocal solo with a similar melody. Syaz came in the studio 1 hour late as he thought the location was at Beats Merchants. Overall, it was successful outing which reminds of the days of playing at Wanna Jam Studio @Admiralty where Hanesh was not present.

Finally, Artifacts Of The Black Rain was played. Farhan did not come for jamming because of a family outing. The songs were well coordinated as usual. There was no major mistakes.

Well, things were better this week. There is hardly any cue problems. Hanesh played Cross My Heart a little too fast but still overall it was alright. Iyan have not completed In Flames's Artifacts yet so the band did not jam that song. Overall, the songs were generally well coordinated. More practice needed to keep up the momentum.

This is the first practice session since the break. Assault/Nullified got the performance for Tapestry. Only 4 songs were played this week because Nesh need more time to practice. Syaz's brother Hakim, also came along to learn drums from Then. The songs were mainly well coordinated. Then had trouble, when to come in the drums after the guitar solo, into chorus for Only For The Weak. Besides that, there no major problems. The band will try to practice the full setlist during the next practice session.

Sunday 10 June 07: Tapestry Auditions

This is the hour of reckoning. The band was punctual & everyone came by 12.10pm. Before the auditions, some of the members took turns to the toilet. They also fill up a form about their personal particulars. There were 3 judges to watch the band play. Clarance introduced the band members & the first song was In Flames's Only For The Weak. Everthing was going fine until Then came in too fast after the guitar solo going in to the chorus. As usual, he will look to Iyan for the cue but his back was facing him this time. So there was quite awkward moment for the band. Farhan then introduce the second song Arch Enemy's Nemesis. This song was pretty well coordinated. The were also some coordinated headbanging from the band at times which may score some x factor points.

The results would be out on 17 June 2007

Today is the final practice at Beats Merchant before the auditions, the very next day. The band just rocked the 2 audition songs back to back. Before each set, Clarance would practice introducing each of the band members to the judge. The whole session was smooth. The songs were well coordinated.

Today's jam was good & coordination is quite well done.As usual, Farhan brought his videocam to take some videos of the band.The band mainly practice Only For The Weak & Nemesis numerous times & it was good.Iyan also suggested Then add a drum solo at the end of Only For The Weak & which he executed later.Come Clarity was also played well.The band will have one last practice session on Saturday 9 June before the audition which will happen 24hrs later.

Today's jam was good & coordination is quite well done.Farhan also brought his videocam to take some videos of the band.The band just practice Only For The Weak & Nemesis over & over again. As usual, the band will practice even more in the next jam session in run up for the Tapestry 07 auditions.There is also a need to be punctual & set up respective instruments in 5 minutes time.This session marks the first reunion session together with Coventide since June 2006

Nesh have return to the band for a few sessions before the Tapestry Auditions.There were some amplifier & adapter problems which slowed down the set up time.Ideally, Nesh & Iyan need to set up their guitars within 5 mins.Its been decided that the audition songs were Nemesis & Only For The Weak.It seems the band played better on Nemesis rather than Clayman.The audition songs were well coordinated but there will be more practice.This session marks the first session together with Ensisventine & playing at Fourtones studio.Farhan also took some videos of the band.

Sunday 29 April 07: 6th Combined Jamming

This is the first jamming session which lasted only 1hr because Then was hit with fever, cough & body ache. Farhan did not come due his National Service commitments under the Policeforce.The location was still at Wanna Jam. Coordination for the 3 basic song were good as usual but with some minor mistakes. Nullified's The Face was postponed due to a lack of time.

Sunday 8 April 07: 5th Combined Jamming

This is the first jamming session without Nesh. Farhan did not come due to prepare for his National Service under the Policeforce.The band also decided to try to jam at Wanna Jam at Blk 795 near Admiralty Mrt. The studio was big & it had a good unplugged atmosphere. It cost $15/hr but it does not have a double pedal. The owner also gave them free packet drinks.Since Nesh is gone,they have to play songs without the lead/solo parts. Only For The Weak was modified & played only up to 2nd Chorus.Nemesis & Come Clarity were played in full but without lead parts. Clayman was played in full.Iyan pull the solo off nicely. In Bloom was played without vocals & Californication needs more practice. Overall, it was a good jam even thought Nesh was not there.They will keep on practicing on these 6 songs in the future.

Jamming was held at Beats Merchants & started 1hr early because Clarance need to go to a wedding event.The band performance was terrible that day.Its been 3 weeks since the successful jamming at Gashaus.Coordination was poor in all the songs & the overall sound was too noisy.Annas from Annas's Assault join in as a guest musician.He only played In Flames 's Only For The Weak though.Aiiri from Coventide was also there to see the show & take show nice photos of the band.The band thanks Annas & Aiiri for making the effort to come.

As usual, the band have to gain back their momentum in the next jamming.They have done these before & they can do again.More practice are needed on In Flames's Clayman.

Jamming postponed due to Gashaus declaring itself holiday on that day. The boss call Iyan on Saturday but Iyan did not pick up, so the boss leave a voice message which Iyan did not call back. So everyone & Kasman's cousin came without knowing that Gashaus has declared itself a holiday.

The jamming was excellent. Kasman could not come for jamming due to a wedding, so Nesh came in as a last minute replacement. Although Nesh has left us for quite sometime now, coordination was excellent.The band decided to play at Gashaus studios for the very first time. Finding the location was quite a challenge by some members of the band but they still managed to find it. Gashaus studios also have a stage for gigs. The $15/hr jamming studio has good privacy but the drum set lacks double pedal & a splash cymbal. The band will practice to make coordination of songs even better. Highlights include the duet between vocalists & the coordinated head banging during Arch Enemy's Nemesis & In Flames's Only For The Weak. Band photos were also taken during jamming.

Tuesday 13 Feb 07: Nullified On Hiatus

The band will go on hiatus for the upcoming exam period. They will restart jamming on March 4.

Monday 12 Feb 07: Demo Tape Updates

The band has nearly completed 75% of the demo tape. The last song needed to be modified is Minor Harmonic in E. They will need about 6 more weeks to complete the whole demo tape. The modifying period is during the school holiday, which will last from March 4 to Aprill 15. Once the demo is completed, the band will practice those songs.

The band had a quite successful jam at Lee Kwong Seng. They could coordinate well on In Bloom & Be Yourself. Coordination is still needed on verse 2 of The Face. Then still have difficulty on the timing. Farhan tried to incorporate the keyboards & acoutic guitars from The Face gp5 tab & into the microphone, he was successful. However, the tempo of the tab was much faster than the human tempo, so coordination was quite poor for that song. The band will play In Bloom & Audioslave again during the next jamming session.

Monday 22 Jan 07: Future Nullified Plans

Since Nullified has lost a committed guitar player such as Nesh, the band will play Alternative Rock until a new Lead guitar player is found.
For now, Sufiyan will take care of guitar duties. The next jamming session will be on 18 Feb Sunday if Then did not go to Saudi Arabia for his attachment, 22 April Feb Sunday if Then go to Saudi Arabia for his attachment. The band will jam at Lee Kwong Seng for the next session onwards.

Chong was down with fever so he could not make it to jamming. Anyway the band wished him a speedy recovery. The jamming was noisy. As usual, Then made mistakes during the verse 2 of Nullified's The Face. Time was wastefully spent on tuning & modifying the configuration of the amplifier. Sufiyan also complain that the amplifier is too hard to configure. Coordination of the 3 basic songs was good as usual. Farhan also brought a video camera but the band expects the quality to be bad & lousy compared to the Hudsucker videos. Then suggests going to another studio when recording videos.

Thursday Jan 18 07: Nesh Leaving Nullified

Nesh will have his last jamming session with the band on 21 Sunday Jan 07. It seems his father has forbidden him to jam again. The band hope he will return after his O Level (Dec 07) to the band. The search for a new guitar player is on again. Nesh is a committed & skilled musician. He will be missed greatly. The band wishes him all the best for the O Level Examination.

This jamming was not that good, since both bands have not been jamming since Dec 12. Dissection was the worst song as the band had problems coordinating. The 3 warm up song was as good as usual. The band also jammed Nullified's The Face with new lyrics. Lamb Of God's Redneck was an excellent song. The band will no doubt focus more on this song in the next jamming. Dissection's Starless Aeon would be dropped.

Sunday Dec 24 06: Jamming Postponed Dec 24 06

Nullified & Assault has postponed jamming to Jan 07 Sunday & will take a break till the rest of the year. This is because Nesh & his family will be doing some shopping & visiting their relatives. Nesh's father also voiced his disapproval at his son's musical activities. He fears that his son will not study for his O levels. Then hope Nesh could convince his father to let him continue in the band.

Today combine jamming with Assault was good. Md Sufiyan from Ensiventine was called in as the backup bassist.Syaz also came for his 1st session.Overall, both band has made great strides. Both band was well coordinated in playing the In Flames's cover songs.Only For The Weak & Come Clarity.Arch Enemy's Nemesis can be improved. Now, both bands must coordinate better in tougher songs such as Disection's Starless Aeon & Lamb Of God's Redneck. There was also a duet on In Flames's Only For The Weak & Come Clarity.
