A very good question. Just what is the difference between a nudist and a naturist? Well, some people will argue all day about that subject but the reality is that for the most part they are now used interchangably. One might say that a naturist primarily appreciates nudity in an outdoorsy setting, while a nudist pretty much likes to be nude anywhere possible. Not a huge difference, we all like to be clothes-free, right?
Now, the textile (clothing dependant) community has some stereotyped ideas about folks who like to run around without their clothes on. Like most stereotypes, there may be at least some basis in fact. There are folks who live a variety of non-mainstream lifestyles but most of us are just like your Mom & Pop; we just like not wearing clothes. But, of course, there are sub-genres of behavior just like there is in the general populace.
You may run into some of these different points of view while visiting this site. That's called 'freedom of speech'. You are free to not view those websites or view those comments. This is still America, no one is holding a gun to your head.

Something needs to be said about that diversity of lifestyles. Your hosts happen to be relatively 'normal' folks who just happen to like being nude. We're pretty average otherwise. Over the years we have met and befriended people that live, well, different lifestyles. It's been our experience that they are perfectly ordinary folks that just walk to the beat of a different drummer. Perhaps that has something to do with the realization that we are considered out of the mainstream that make us more accepting of other people's choices. The suggestion here is that maybe we shouldn't be too quick to judge those different from us. After all, we're all a little bit different ourselves.
