Prologue
Ri'Zaym RavenBiter, a bluish Draconian (a dragon-like race humanoid in shape, much mystery surrounds them) and Hanei GoldHeart (A Blastoise that has trained himself in the art of using weapons when the need arises) were traveling through various lands when they heard of a strange door appearing in a local lake called Seafoam Bay. They swam to the center of Seafoam Bay, and found an island that had not existed there before. The island was blooming with strange and exotic plants. At the opposite end, there was a giant stone head with its mouth open. In its mouth was a glowing purple light in the shape of a door. The was a normal human guard dressed in chainmail standing in front of the glowing door, and a female Kahjiit (a humanoid cat-like race, very nimble and quick) over to the right. Ri'Zaym tried to talk to the Kahjiit, but all she'd say was this...
"You can't see me. You can't see me. Neither can he... no one can see me."
When Hanei tried to approah the glowing door, the guard got in the way and stuck his hand out to hold the Blastoise back.
"You don't want to go in there. Everything that's come back out is screwed up in the head."
At that moment, a Scizor came out of the glowing door, ranting.
"No. No! It shouldn't be possible! It isn't possible! I won't go back. You can't make me go back!! I'll kill you! That's right! I'll kill you all!!"
And at that moment the Scizor opened his claw and sliced at Hanei. Hanei used his powerful legs to launch into the air, and as he was coming down, he brought his left foot down on the Dark Elf. The Scizor immediately fell to the ground limp.
"I love it when I have an awesome partner. " Ri'Zaym stated as Hanei recomposed himself.
"Did you see that?! Perfectly normal people go in, and when they come back out, their brains are addled! Got no sense!!" the guard exclaimed.
"I can see that." Hanei replied.
"We'll go in, and see what is doing this to those people." Ri'Zaym told the guard as he pushed past him.
"Have fun going insane!!" The guard yelled after Ri'Zaym and Hanei as they entered the purple glowing door.
But what they don't know is that the guard is... well... partially right. When Ri'Zaym and Hanei finally return from their long journey in this new land, they will not be the same. they will have experienced things that no other humanoid and pokemon have experienced before. Depending on how they use their soon-to-be-gained knowledge, they could become all-powerful, or they could become screwed up beyond all reason, and become like the Scizor that has died today. And the judge of this... will be Dorito. The God of Madness, if you will.
Chapter 2
Ri’Zaym and Hanei came out into a small room lit by a seemingly non-existent lamp. The walls were black, with strange etchings. There was a rectangular table in the center of the room. There was an old man in a strange vibrant, almost joker-like outfit sitting at the far end of the table.
“Let’s be civil; sit down please.” The old man said, although his voice betrayed his looks. He sounded like he was only 30. Ri’Zaym took a seat on their end of the table.
“Thank you, and my name is Geronimus. Now I assume you want to ask a few questions about why you are here.” The old man added.
“Yes, but first… that door… uh…-” Ri’Zaym stuttered.
“Yes, you have entered and now you are here. Amazing. Truly.” Geronimus replied with an obvious hint of exasperation. Ri’Zaym sighed and exchanged dry glances with Hanei.
“I meant why is it there?” Ri’Zaym clarified.
“Because my lord Dorito wills it to be there. It is posing no danger to inhabitants of your realm; it is violating no pact.” Geronimus replied.
“But those that come inside-” Geronimus cut Ri’Zaym off.
“They chose to come in, and were unworthy. My lord seeks a champion, and they didn’t fit the bill.” Geronimus explained.
“Well, can they at least be cured?” Ri’Zaym asked. Geronimus gave a look of surprise to Ri’Zaym.
“There is nothing wrong them, except that they have finally experienced the madness of my lord Dorito. Perhaps it is you who needs a cure.” Geronimus glared and Ri’Zaym.
“Well, perhaps we can try to be this… Dorito’s champion?” Ri’Zaym asked. Hanei placed his hand on Ri’Zaym’s shoulder. Ri’Zaym looked at him, and Hanei made a slicing motion with his claw against his own neck, silently telling Ri’Zaym that this doesn’t sit well with him. Ri’Zaym looked at Hanei, doubtful. Hanei took offense to this and glared at Ri’Zaym as he smirked back.
“Well, you should think on the decision. This is not to be taken lightly. You will most likely die before you even reach him, but if you do, you have great potential, and I do not doubt my lord will have use for you.” Geronimus told them.
“We’ll accept and try to become Dorito’s long awaited champion.” Hanei blurted out. Ri’Zaym stared at him with a stupefied look.
“Well then, you must first get past our GateKeeper. Here in the Sphere, you must prove yourself worthy before you are allowed to enter the true realm.” Geronimus added. Geronimus then stood up out of his chair, and just disappeared.
“Soooooooooooooooo… how are we gonna get out of here, Ri’Zaym?” Hanei asked.
“I have no idea.” Ri’Zaym replied.
