Hello all, I am known to some as Scrambletech and others as Bob Horton. In the future I will set up a separate page explaining the "Scrambletech" name for those interested.
I have set up this site in order to promote several books. Five that I have written and two others, one written by my daughter and one by my sister.
My four books are: NShalain Troubles - The Arrival, Nshalain Troubles - The Colony, NShalain Troubles, - The Return, and NShalain Colony. NShalain Colony is actually NShalain Troubles - The Arrival and NShalain Troubles - The Colony combined. There is another work in progress that will probably finish the NShalain saga.
NShalain Troubles -The Arrival was originally published as NShalain Troubles by PublishAmerica. I got disgusted with Publish America's pricing policies and got out of the contract. Let's just say that PA prices the books WAY too high, especially for an unknown author. Basically, who is going to pay $27.95 (plus shipping and handling) for a 276 page paperback? I am publishing the same book (with all corrections made) for $13.95 on Createspace and Amazon! I am in the process of writing up the story of my problems with PublishAmerica. I very strongly urge aspiring authors to avoid Publish America at all costs. They say they are a "traditional publisher". They are not, instead of offset printing, they use "print-on-demand" or POD technology. Their editing deparment seems to be merely a text formatting department, and they do a poor job of that!
I shall be updating the content of this site on a continual basis. I am finally getting some time available for such projects.
