My name is Natalie Polzen, I have been riding for the last 16 years and training for the last seven. I have a Dressage background and I use the principals of Dressage in all my horses, from Western pleasure to jumping horses, this promotes suppleness and creates a responsive horse. Suppleness is key to a happy horse, most riders assume that bad behaviors are always attitude problems, when they are often caused by stiffness and back pain. My methods are non-abusive and I focus on gaining the trust of the horse and forming a willing partnership with it, because riding should be fun for both you and your horse.
Horse training comes with unlimited free lessons while the horse is in training, because what good is having a push button horse if you don't know where the buttons are?
Horses get worked 6 days a week at my barn, and I encourage owners to come out and watch and take lessons as often as they can.
Horses that I have trained have won many titles in multiple disciplines on different show circuits, including three state titles in Dressage.
I train in may different disciplines including Saddle Seat, gaited horses, Gaming, Dressage, Three Day Eventing, English, Western, Hunters, Jumpers, Showmanship and Driving. I work with "problem" horses and start colts as well. I have show experience in OHSET, 4-H, Pony Club, NWPTWHA, Open, Hunters and Jumpers.
I give lessons to riders of all ages and levels of experience, and I have a lesson horse if you don't have your own.
