It’s not what you know
that’s really important, it’s what you have
By default, a voice imaging
producer should know the technical ABCs. Skills and knowledge of
editing software and pro-tools are just some of the basics. But the
important requirement of all is your voice portfolio. After all,
it’s not what you know that’s really important, it’s what you have!
For experienced voiceover artists, you need to identify which format
or formats are your strengths. Gather all your finest imaging
projects including those you produced yourself or just only voiced.
You have to be your own critic.
For beginners, just pick those projects that really made it on air
and take out only those that offered you praises. You know what I
mean. Otherwise, don’t take any chances.
