THE MAZE OF LIFE - PART 2
The thread of this continues.
There's a buzz of excitement stirring amongst the gathered young spirits.
"It is time for our appointments", one says.
"Our Father is about to send us forth", says another, in a shrill hushed tone of joy.
Then Father appears.
"Who will be born in
"We will go!" A myriad of hands are raised. "We choose to do Thy will Oh God!"
"But you will be disadvantaged", Father says. "You will exposed to poverty, to disease, to war, to famine."
"Father we will go! Your works must be made manifest! We will to do Thy will! We can show the world how to love", sing the excited little group of chosen.
"Therefore go! Be My chosen. Let the world remember Me through you. Let the nations gather and show forth My love & goodness upon you."
"Amen Lord. We are pleased to do Thy will." They scurry away to do the Lord's bidding.
"Who will be born in
Another group cries out, "We will go!"
"But you too will be disadvantaged", He says. "You will be exposed to excessivism, materialism, spiritual apathy. These will distance you from Me; these will make you forget
"Father we shall triumph! We shall not fail Thee!" They also leave our Lord's presence.
"Who will be born in
Another group excitedly raise their hands. "Us, Lord! Send us!"
"You also will be disadvantaged. You might not even hear of Me. Those who do will be hounded. You will be exposed to monsoon floods, to earthquakes, to unbelief."
"Father we will find Thee! We will seek Thee! To do Thy bidding is our pleasure!"
And the list goes on and on, as our Father calls out. Billions of choices made for families of all varieties, of all nations, of all backgrounds.
So the journey begins.
A body He prepares. (Heb 10:5) There is a spark of life between the ovum and that chosen sperm.
As the process starts, so also the assignment chosen is slowly forgotten.
Some will not complete this process. For by default or design - the ova are not healthy; the sperm carries weaknesses; the womb is not conducive. These are miscarried. Some are aborted by choice.
But many make it through. But some are born with hereditary diseases - destined to cut short their little lives. Some are gunned down in the streets at the prime of their youth. Some cannot bear the pressures of life, so commit suicide. Some will live without hearing a word about Jesus; about God. These must make do with the Light of Love that shines through the path they find themselves.
Not all will reach their predestined path they have chosen before the foundation of the world. Many will turn aside to evil when catastrophe strikes their home, their health. The Father must work all these things into good. They cross over into death and are met by the "Turning-Point" Court of the King.
"It is appointed unto men once to die, after this the Krisis". (Heb 9:27). Krisis (greek word. Strong's no. 2920) translated variously in the KJV as judgment, damnation, condemnation.
We get our English word "Crisis" from this. A moment that a decision needs to be made.
Let's see a few verses of Krisis.
Matt 12:18: He shall show krisis to the gentiles.
Matt 12:20: Krisis unto victory.
Matt 12:41: Rise in Krisis
Matt 23:23: Krisis, mercy, and faith
John 3:19: This is the Krisis that...
John 5:30: My krisis is just
John 12:3: Now is the krisis of the world
How is Krisis more tolerable? Matt 10:15, Matt 11:24.
James 2:13 Mercy rejoices against krisis
Ah. This is the turning-point of the maze of confusion. The narrow-way decision for these must now be made. Refuse, and continue in the maze of despair. Accept, and the journey-steps to life will start, oh maybe in ever so small steps, as each one can perceive and learn. All judged according to their works.
Consider the life of our Lord.
A lamb slain before the foundation of the world.
"Lo I come to do thy will O God. In the volume of the book it is written of me." (Psalm 40:7, Heb 10:7)
"I came not to do my own will, but the will of Him that sent me." (John 6:39)
Our Lord also was subject to this sin laden body of clay, yet He chose not to sin (1 Pet 2:22).
He also suffered temptations. He learned obedience through the things He suffered (Heb 5:8)
Why did He have to learn? Because the process of physical birth is subject to forgetting the mission.
Yet through His choices, He remembered and grew in wisdom and stature in the knowledge of the Lord (Luke 2:52) and fulfilled His mission (John 17:4-5).
Some have thought that our Lord had an advantage by being virgin-born.
I will suggest to you that our Lord had no such advantage!
"Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people." Heb 2:17
Why the virgin birth?
Ah brethren: a prophet had prophesied! (Isaiah 7:14) It must needs be fulfilled, not because of some serpent-seed in the human lineage!
Yet even before this sign, thousands of years before, it had already been written in the Heavens.
Where you say?
In the constellation Virgo!
The ancients had described the entire history of the Son through the 12 signs of the Zodiac. Some have said Enoch did this. Remember Astronomy comes before astrology. The stars do not speak about us. They are not our personality profiles, our love-lives that can be read in columns in magazines. No!!! They speak about Him and what He is doing through us!
And so the sign of Virgo was described by the holy ancients; then some began to scramble around to defy that sign. Hence the stories of Semiramos and Tammuz, and the multiple "virgin" birth accounts leading up to Christ.
But we digress.
So we are nearing the end of our considerations about the Maze of Life.
We may be on the B-R-I-G-T-H path instead of our predestined B-R-I-G-H-T path. In each there is an opportunity to rearrange those 2 last letters to make it B-R-I-G-H-T again.
Our Father speaks to us in ways we sometimes cannot fathom. Just think of all the Muslims He's spoken to through dreams and visions about Isah Ben Joseph -- our Lord the Christ of God. Think of the different ways He brought you unto this chosen narrow path.
But also we must take heed.
For on this narrow path are multiple opportunities to choose to leave it!
Let us set our hearts as a flint and continually seek this way and walk in it.
"And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left." Isa 30:21
"So what's the point of this Maze?" you say.
It is to discover the way of the Cross. This is the Wonder of our God! Without it, we will not be perfected.
Stay blessed today,
