Walsh Family Camp Site

We started this "Camp Site" as a place to record our family camping trips. We , Kelly and Me (Brian) started camping soon after our first child was born. We started in a tent and with a Coleman 2-burner stove in the mountains of New Hampshire. We took trips to New York, Massachusetts, and Tennessee with our young daughter, Courtney.

After many trips in New England and Tennessee we moved to Tennessee and added to our family. We moved to the foothills of the Smoky Mountains and continued to camp frequently. Our first son Kevin was born and with two kids tent camping was a little harder. We inherited my parents 1984 Skamper 14C Popup Camper. It was in prime condition for being almost 25 years old.

When our family expanded again, with the birth of Colin, we realized that we wanted to upsize our camper. The 8' Skamper Box with bouble beds was getting a little cramped. Being a fan of popups it was an easy choice to upgrade to a more current model popup trailer and we decided on the Coleman/Fleetwood Utah CP.

We surrendered the 1984 Skamper to Kelly's mother and her husband, who still use it frequently. Thanks for looking around our campsite and we hope to see you around the fire.
