The Colour of Secrets

My secrets are dark plums
that peel from my lips.
Black as a season of crows,
they feather down to the water
where constellations coalesce
in a fiery mirror.
Bleeding across cosmic amalgam,
an unwanted blemish
in the divine passion of stars,
they seed roots in a network
surrounding me,
till I am wrapped in their womb
by myself.
