• Band practice for all band members on 28th Feb 2008. Fall-in in the hall at 3.15pm.
• Those Sec 1s who have yet to hand in the information slip. Pls do so as punishment will be carried out.

Band Footdrill Assessment

The footdrill assessment will be on 12th April 2008 at Hwa Chong Institution as many of you had know. We have 1 months + more to prepare ourselves. Let's do this together and prove to the teachers, instructors, friends in NVSS, teachers in NVSS and Principle that BAND has the ability to march and play with instrument. Here are some things you all can improve and take note of....

• Dressings when mark-time. - Pls check your dressing to your right and your front. Make sure you are not out. Use side of your eye to do so.
• Mark-time, 90 degrees. - We observed that there are still some of you not lifting your legs when doing mark-time. When the band do mark-time together, it looks nice and orderly.
• Your turning during backturn, left turn or right turn. - Turn together and listen to the timing, be it the bass drum or the timer.

Let us not give up now and continue to work hard for this assessment. I believe we can do it.

• Next band practice on this coming Tuesday, 30th October 2007. Fall-in outside language room at 12.45pm. Pls be informed that there might be O' Level Examination in the hall. So pls be quiet when moving up the stairs.
• Those who have not handed in the Hong Kong Trip forms/photocopied passport. Pls hand it in LATEST this MONDAY 29th October 2007.
• Band mates who have yet to give the band fund. Pls hand it as soon as possible.

Firstly, sorry for not posting up annoucements here for a long time.

This are the schedule for September holiday.

On 6th September 2007, we will have a Full Combined Rehersal with guest bands and alumni band. Pls come on time on 6th September and expect no late comers.

7th September we MIGHT have rehersal again. As you can see in the schedule on top, it says "tentative". So if you want to rest on Friday before our Vista Musica III, you have to practice!

On 15th September. To those parents who are going. Just a reminder. So pls inform your parents.

Lastly, practice hard. Play hard and enjoy all the pieces you playing. Just enjoy and move with the music. No one will laugh at you because you are enjoying the music like what all professionals are doing. Let's enjoy the concert on 8th September together.

Next band practice on Tuesday. 10th July 2007. Fall-in outisde the Language Room. Combine will be in Lecture Room. The O and N level Oral is still on. So pls keep you noise level down when moving into Lecture Room.

Pls remember to bring Term 3's Band Fund on next Tuesday. $2.

Sec 2s to 3s. Pls be reminded to check your uniform. If its too small for you. Pls tell the Operation Manager (Mei Zhen and Yi Rong) on 10th July 2007.

Sec 1s and those seniors who had ordered the Band T-Shirt. Pls be informed that we will be trying the shirts on Tuesday too.

This coming Saturday (30th June 2007) fall in at 7.30am. Sec 2s and 3s wear Band T-Shirt. Sec 1s wear PE Attire.

Those who order the SYF Photo. Pls bring the money on Saturday (30th June 2007). If you don't pay by this Saturday, we will have to pay the original price.

Band Mates Sec 3-5 are excuse from CIP on Saturday. As Saturday's exchange have CIP points too.

Annoucement for Main Band (Include Sec 1s)

Tommorow Band sectionals (27th June 2007). Fall-in at 7.45am. Sectionals ending at 10am. If report after 7.45am, you are considered late and punishment will be taken. Everyone must come.

Next Band practice, 28th June 2007. Fall in at 3.15pm. Lower Secondary Band mates, pls have your lunch at a nearest food court or fast food restaurant. Upper Secondary Band mates, if possible, pls have a quick snack in the canteen. No one are suppose to be late because school had reopened and band practices are after school.

Those Sec 1s who have not paid up the Band Fund, pls do so tommorow or latest Thursday (28th June 2007).

Those who had ordered the SYF photos 2007. Pls hand in the money latest Saturday 30th June 2007.

Lastly, pls work hard and don't slack anymore. It's time for us to be awake and to put in efforts. Sec 1s, pls be serious and do not complain. Whatever we call you to do is for your own good. Really. So pls, everyone, work hard and show the others what we have for the upcoming performances. Next performance will be NDP, followed by September's Vista Musica 3. After that will be our Hong Kong trip. Pls, work hard for all the performance. We can do it! (:

20th April 2007 was the speech day and its the last performance for the sec 4s and 5s. North Vista Symphonic Band juniors would like to thank all the sec 4s and 5s for bringing so much fun into band and thanks for sharing with us all your experiences and tips in band. We really hope that you all will join our North Vista Alumni Band so we can keep in touch. Thanks seniors. Thank you very much. Bye, our beloved seniors. No matter wad, we are a band, a BIG family.
