Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located?In quiet North Salem New Hampshire. We rent the lower level of the North Salem United Methodist Church. Our address is 389 North Main Street. What are your hours of operation?Arrival and pick-up times are listed below. Please be sure your child arrives and is picked up on time.
Do you teach religion?No. Do you offer day care?We offer half day sessions only. Do children need to be potty trained to attend?Yes. We give reminders to use the bathroom if needed. We ask that each child have a change of clothes at school. What is your ratio?6-8 students to 1 teacher. Do you have any classroom rules?It is the goal of North Salem Preschool teachers to teach students appropriate behavior and self-control. Rules are established to ensure a proper learning environment. We find most children respond well to gentle reminders of the rules. Classroom rules:

Are there any items my child isn't allowed to bring in?Children have a designated day (Friday) to bring and item from home to share. Please allow your child to bring only item. Also, please be sure your child does not bring the following items to school for show and tell or at any other time:
What do you charge and when do we pay?Please call or e mail for prices. Payment is due monthly. Can I come take a look at your school?Certainly! We are happy to give you and your child a tour. Most tours are scheduled for 9am Monday, Wednesday or Friday. Call (603)898-8228 or e mail (Alaula@aol.com) to set up your visit. How do I register?Call or e mail to schedule a tour. A completed registration form and $30 registration fee will secure a spot in our program. I've just moved here. Will you accept students mid-year?Yes. What do I need to do if my child will be absent?If your child will be absent, please call the school. Please note that payment is still required if a child misses school due to illness or vacation. What is your inclement weather policy?School cancellations for North Salem Preschool will be made when the Salem NH school district cancels classes. If there is a delayed opening, there will be no morning session; there will be afternoon classes. You will be notified of any exceptions. We reserve the right to cancel classes. If we lose electricity, class will be cancelled or will end early. If you work, please ask a family member or friend to be a back-up in the case that school is cancelled. |
