Big Bang Theory 28mm figures - Attica Games

Attica Games was originally mentioned on the Crooked Dice forums and I thought I'd share here.

They've produced a set of figures based on the Big Bang Theory cast.

Despite some mixed reviews on TMP, I took the plunge and ordered the figures.

First up Sheldon

Next Leonard

Howard

Raj

Penny

I showed the figures to non gamers and the figures were recognised as the cast of The Big Bang Theory. The only negative being the strange pose for Penny. The poses for Howard & Raj are derived from one of the DVD boxset covers.

Say hello to my little friend!

More Customized Judge Dredd Figures

Posted on August 2, 2012 at 3:00 PM Comments comments (0)

Wow, it's been over a month since my last blog.

Here's some more Foundry Judges that have been customised.

The customized figure is on the left and the original on the right. The gum arm has been reposotioned and a spare Judge Giant head was attached.

Again, in this picture, the customized figure on the left. Lots of green stuff and a Judge Dredd head - which is why she looks decidely masculine!

Updated PDF links

Posted on June 14, 2012 at 5:20 AM Comments comments (0)

Done a bit of housekeeping and updated a lot of the links to the pdfs I've published. Seems that behind the scenes the format of linkages has changed and I got caught out.

Anyway, hopefully all sorted out.

New Hotz Mat

Our little wargaming group recently acquired a Hotz desert playing mat.

Essentially it's thick sheet of beige flt that Hotz have treated. It has a sort of rubbery feel to the back, but the front is just the plain colour and untextured,

Here it is with some Star Wars figures.

I picked up some cheap Foundry Judges off ebay. Using some spare heads from Crooked Dice, I customized the figures.

Here some before & after pictures.

Find of the day at Cavalier 2012

Whilst at Cavalier 2012, I came across a company called MJ Figures. I'd not come across them before and decided to have a browse. I'm so glad I did. because I discovered that they produce a number of 28mm figures who could quite easily be used as proxy Jaffa from the Stargate franchise.

They do three different types and come in a pack of three for £2.50!!! Yes, that's £2.50 for three figures. Exceptionally good value when a lot of other companies will quite happily charge £2.50 for one figure.

Having some of my spending budget left, I took the plunge and bought 4 packs of the Gorgon Guards.

Here's the three figures that you get in a pack - they're just based and not painted at this stage.

Here we have close up pictures of the individual figures.

Some size comparison pictures. First up next to a TAG US Marine which I will using for my proxy SG teams.

Next up, guarding a Dalek from Micro Universe range from Character Options.

I've watched Stargate, but wouldn't call myself a fan - I know who the main characters are, but couldn't give you detailed episode descriptions. I'll probably use these for Dr Who, as they'd make good guards for the Osirians.
