State of the site

I have been having a bit of a tidy up of the website. Seems Webs having been doing some work behind the scenes that has resulted in my (and others) not being able to access any of my previously loaded images. As a result, a number of my webpages have lost the images that I had loaded on them. As a result, I've have (temporarily I hope) removed them from being visible.

Finally got a chance to try out the new solo card deck for Pulp Alley. Here's the write up of the game. All in all, it plays just like the normal version and will allow me to get more gaming in.

Gothic Horror using Frostgrave

Posted on August 5, 2016 at 6:10 AM Comments comments (0)

This was a game inspired by watching Hotel Transylvania. I dug out some BTD figures of Count Dracula & Frankenstein (they're part of the BTD Dr Who range), added a werewolf and some GW zombies to form a warband. What to use for the oppostion? Luckily, I had a set of Westwind figures that represent the typical mob you see in Hammer horror films - pitchforks and torches. There was also a figure that resembled the Hugh Jackman version of Van Helsing from the film of the same name. SO I had two warbands, which rules to use? Take out the spell casting from Frostgrave and you are left with a great & lethal skirmish mechanic, which is simple to play.

Took a day off work to go and watch a cricket match. However, what was left of Hurricane Bertha hit the UK that day and it did nothing but rain. I took the opportunity to catch up on some gaming instead. I dug out the old FASA White Flame book for the Star Trek Combat Simulator and used the first scenario for a game using the 5150: Star Navy ruleset.

Here the write up.

Dangerous Delivery - Pulp Alley AAR

Posted on August 30, 2013 at 10:25 AM Comments comments (0)

Had a game of Pulp Alley the other night. Played the Dangerous Delivery scenario in the core rulebook - albeit with a few differences.

The great thing about this ruleset is that it can be used for the more than the Pulp area. So with this in mind, I dug out my Geezers! figures from Killer B Games and had a game.

You read it here.

More Customized Judge Dredd Figures

Posted on August 2, 2012 at 3:00 PM Comments comments (0)

Wow, it's been over a month since my last blog.

Here's some more Foundry Judges that have been customised.

The customized figure is on the left and the original on the right. The gum arm has been reposotioned and a spare Judge Giant head was attached.

Again, in this picture, the customized figure on the left. Lots of green stuff and a Judge Dredd head - which is why she looks decidely masculine!
