Welcome to my skimboarding site. I only have a little bit on it right now and I should have much more by the end of the summer. I haven't got many pictures yet because I have only went skimboarding once this season. If you have any skimboarding pictures or links to good skimboarding websites please email them to me.

Skimboarding is a little like surfing but on the sand.  To skimboard you need a flat area on the beach with a thin layer of water on the sand.  Skimboards look like surfboards but are not as long, a little wider, and a little thinner.  There are two types of skimboards; Woody's and Foamies.  Woodys are made of wood and foamies are fiberglass with foam in the middle.  With foamies you could go in deeper water than you could with a woody because they are lighter.  Here are some pictures to show you what skimboarding looks like
