Currently, my work is an expression of organic materials in the medium of steel. I take such recognizable creatures as insects and hermit crabs and I abstract their forms through metal and all of its properties. Such a medium gives an originally natural form a sense of industrialization and machinery. I've studied thoroughly the Futurist movement and the writings of F.T. Marinetti. Much like the Futurist, I am fascinated by machine, design and the activation of space. Steel is a material with both weight and strength, and translates my ideas successfully. I am obsessed with the synthesis of nature and industrialization.
