Oh, I do love graphics. Especially free pics and free progs.
Some stuff I've done you can find on the gallery pages. Sooner or later.
Programs
My favourite free 3d program is unquestionably...
Blender - http://www.blender3d.com It does so much, even if it is tricky to start with. And free is good! For help forums beyond the developer site, go to...
Elysiun - http://www.elysiun.com for the Blender forums - questions and answers and works and more
Terragen - http://www.planetside.co.uk - the best looking landscapes from a (mostly) free program out there.
Update - Terragen 2 is going to be available by next year, and it is going to rock! The author has developed work for professional cinema such as Star Trek and other coming movies, and is almost finished completely re-writting Terragen. T2 will do everything you always wished it could, including importing other 3d objects. This will be stupendous!
Bryce - http://www.daz3d.com - UPDATE - It's alive! The program was bought by Daz3D and they are hard to work enhancing it!
Canadian was nice (Corel bought Bryce a few years ago and sold it again in 20004) but at least Daz is likely to keep it going. A lot of people use both Poser and Bryce.
They also are making a free Poser work-alike program called Daz Studio, currently still is still in beta-testing. However, they have promised to keep the basic program free in the future, and are building better bridges to Bryce as well.

Sorry - this group has withered and died on the vine.

Renderosity -http://www.renderosity.com/homepage.ez?Who=DGEbel
I have a select of the most popular pictures from here, as well as pencil drawings from my recent art course.
Disclaimer!!!
NOTE - Renderosity has a lot of cool pictures, however it has an "artistic supply site" as well as lots of user galleries, including a large quantity of human depiction, so you may need to cover your eyes occasionally if you wander off my page, ok? There is a viewing filter that artists are supposed to use. Don't say I didn't warn you. )
By posting their web-ring here, I am able to list my website on my postings as "sponsor" and also get (some) traffic through the web-ring. Theoretically.

No Genius at Geocities- http://www.geocities.com/nogeniusi/ - Note the letter "i" at the end. Plain id of "nogenius" was already taken at yahoo. Oh well.
There reason for the icky Geo page is simple - one of the VERY few free sites where AVIs are allowed. Click on the "graphics" link for pictures, eh?
Solar Flare Studios has a discussion forum that you can post to as well. I have to check if animations are ok too! (No, I haven't yet, but I think they are. Well, I did, but I forget for sure). Its been awhile since I've been there, now.
