Over a decade of mainframe skills, but I love the designability & power of the web and other small computers. The market in my area for either is VERY slow right now. However, I have gotten work again, thankfully! Getting a chance to do some web and mainframe work. Got to redesign parts of one ugly website we are supporting at least!

A friend of mine has told me "the bar has been raised" on my artwork, I can't claim to be a rank beginner any more and he expects the quality to keep improving... thanks for the push, Paul!
I won county fair awards back in my school days for photography and artwork, and like to think I haven't entirely lost my touch. I've gradually learned 3d tools as well such as Blender, Bryce, Poser, Terragen and others. Especially thanks to those that provide free tools such as Blender (news: www.blender3d.com - it's back as Open Source! Yeeha!) and Terragen, and those British magazines that give us the FULL retail versions of older but still popular programs like Bryce and Poser (even if they do cost $20+ for a mag here). THANKS!! (New bad trend = Older versions that are crippled. Ugg!)
Also all those other free tools and services on the net, so we can all learn, even if we're not making them or us much money with it... yet!

Also working on some story writing (off and on) with a a good friend of mine. Now he's wanting to write a comic though. He gets the easy part, the writing, of course! :-)
As for my drawing, we'll have to see. Currently taking a drawing/painting/cartooning community centre course from a nice guy who has worked for the big names. Its short, but maybe get me going again in traditional media - even my faces aren't (all) as bad as I remember! One of these days maybe I'll post something besides spaceships!
