when i first discovered oasis and "britpop" i guess you could say the music industry was at that time in a very poor state of affairs, of course there was music out there but not to the greatest of standards. then "it" happened, the arrival of britpop, and it all went very mad, sparked into life by the biggest and the best.......OASIS. many good bands accompanied them, pulp,ocean colour scene, bl*r,supergrass,cast, and many others. it was a great time to be 20 years old, old enough to do what you wanted but also young enough to get away with many things. me and my mates certainly lived it well, forming our own band (which never even got to selecting a lead vocalist) but hey at least we thought about it and played a bit of guitar.the hair cut....oh dear the hair cut,do you remember it, all long at the front, i'm sure i have a pic of me with it, will try and put it on here.three of us went to earls court on sunday the 5th of november 1995 wes keefy and me, and boy did we have a goodun. very close to the front getting thrown about all over the place. words can't express the atmosphere on that night it was just electric. wonderwall had that night gone in the charts at number 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. god how did that ever happen, but still if a "nursery rhyme"(as noel called it so brilliantly) can beat roll with it to the number 1 spot then anything can happen.

Knebworth on sunday 11th august 1996........wow what a line up, noel and liam kept bitching all the way through but it never stopped the crowd enjoying every moment. sadly that is the only two times i have managed to see the boys in action live as my life has settled down with other responsibilities, but i do plan to see them on the next tour whenever that may be.
