METCALF TAKES TRUCK SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP
Add one more name to the list of no doubt champions . Metcalf took the championship with only Kc slightly nipping at his heels
in the final race.
Going into the chase it looked like a 4 way ordeal between the teammates of sv and giblues versus metcal and kc, but a newcomer , kjohnson had a little to say about it before it was over.
Metcalf said after winning the championship that if his teammate dint have so many issues concerning pitstops during the season the outcome may have been differant.
Most expected a late run by giblues and sv with the talladega and texas tracks in the chase but that soon went away with poor showing at both tracks by the team. consistancy is what wins championships , gi was quoted as saying , and metcalf had it all year.
A strong showing by kjohnson in the chase may be a prelude to things to come for the dominant team of kc and metcal to deal with.
Congats to Metcalf and hats off to all the drivers that competed in the truck series.
Looks like all the drivers in this league best get it togeather because metcalf has a chance to win the 88 series , and cot series as well.
That would make metcal the champion in every series but 2 for present champions in the nodoubt league. The whelen chapionship is yet to be decided with 3 races to go and the late model 70's champion is giblues. Not bad MR METCALF ( as we may have to call you if you pull this off lol). keep up the good work.
