This is the way I will mark your site:

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
  • Basically your homepage layout.
  • I will not mark enter pages because a lot of people don't have them and they don't add much to a site anyway :D
  • I will look to see if the colour scheme goes with the layout and everything looks tidy and ordered.
  • The homepage is very important as it is the first page a person will see when they come onto your site so I want to be impressed.
  • I will look at your layout skills and HTML/CSS skills too.


    • 20 marks maximum

    CONTENT:
  • Each section will be marked.
  • I will look for graphics [preferably your own -- this will get you extra marks because it is always good to see the skills of the person owning the site -- don't rely on other sites for your graphics it's your site so make it yours!!], tutorials, competitions [viewers always like a site where they can enter comps to win awards -- it's good fun] and a little extra stuff is always good.


    • 50 marks maximum

    GENERAL SUCCESS/FAILURE:
  • I will look to see the viewing numbers of your site/how busy it is by looking in the guestbook. Make your site more popular by advertising.
  • Affilies are always good to have -- they are a way of getting advertised and so boost your site views. Also it shows that you have friends within piczo ect. so I can tell that you spend time on your site -- it basically shows dedication.


    • 10 marks maximum

    GRAMMAR:
  • Good grammar is very important indeed. Viewers get put off if you they go to a site where the viewer does not spell/cannot spell properly.
  • In general bad spelling is just annoyed, infuriating and basically hard to undertand!!
  • NO writing like dis, DiS, or Πο§.

    OVERALL:
  • I will assess your site on the whole of general success rate.
