New Milton Evangelical Free Church

NMEFC  is a Bible believing church with a desire to spread the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ. 

We are a group of people of varying ages and interests united together by our faith in Jesus Christ. Faith in Christ we have discovered is the only way to know real life and true joy here on earth and eventually with Him, forever in eternity.

We gather together to worship God and to give thanks for His Son Jesus. Our weekly Sunday meetings are where we listen to hear what God has to say to us through His word, the Bible. The services are a mix of modern and traditional hymns, Bible readings, prayer, and a message from the Bible that is relevant to today.

  O What a Saviour!

On the evening of May 17^th 2009 we were treated to a wonderful night of heartfelt praise and adoration towards Christ. The lovely husband and wife team, Stephen and Jude Law came to share their testimonies with a packed church.

The couple from Northern Ireland showed us the transforming power of the Lord Jesus Christ through the mighty work he did for sinners on the cross. They both demonstrated beautifully that once we acknowledge we are weak and fallen and call out to Jesus for forgiveness with a repentant heart then the punishment we were due, he endured for us. This gives us a clean slate and a whole new relationship with God.

Jude was the first to take the floor. Jude told how she had suffered severe self esteem issues and a terrible eating disorder. However because of the new heart that Christ promises all those who follow him, Jude was able to stand on the stage and in the strength of the Lord share with, close to a hundred people, how only Christ can really change a life for the better. In a well delivered talk self esteem never seemed an issue once, O what a saviour!

Stephen then took the stage and with a no-nonsense, enthusiastic delivery kept the church on the edge of their seats, hanging onto his every word. Stephen told how he had come from a Christian home and had known the love and prayers of a godly mother and father from an early age. Later in life however he spoke of how bad decisions led to him being caught up in a traumatic battle with alcoholism.  It seemed all was lost, till one night with out knowing it he led Jude to the Lord. After her conversion God grabbed hold of his life and by the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ he was restored back to faith and has stayed away from drink since.

Stephen and Jude were fantastic witnesses to the one true and living God and of His loving work. May His name be praised forever!
