Sages and saints of India

 Welcome to my website devoted entirely for sages and saints of India...Firstly, I must admit that a large number of sages and saints have hallowed the land of India...therefore I am giving here only a small sampling of them...Secondly, I have labeled it as "India", not Hinduism...thus I would cover the saints and sages of other religions too, especially Buddhism, Jainism , Zoroastrians.[parsees],Islam and  Christianity.

 I hope that this website will spur interest in these great souls, and also in the various religions which have flourished in India---a country known for its tolerance and absorption of different religions over the last 2500 years....even before the time of Lord Buddha. 

 These pages may also provide some valuable information and analysis for students in academic departments of Eastern religions/comparative religion in universities. 

 I also hope to hear from you for serious discussion on matters in this website.
