Nissi Project (beta)

Spreading the Word...Raising a Banner...Providing an Identity

"Nissi" what?

And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.

So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.

And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

But Moses' hands [were] heavy; and they took a stone, and put [it] under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this [for] a memorial in a book, and rehearse [it] in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven

And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi:

For he said, Because the LORD hath sworn [that] the LORD [will have] war with Amalek from generation to generation.

Exodus 17:9-16

Nissi Project Snapshot

Meaning:  Jehovah-nissi = Jehovah (God) is my banner
It was the name given by Moses to the altar which he built in commemoration of the defeat of the Amalekites
Nissi = derived from the Hebrew root word "nec" meaning banner, signal, or 'rallying point'.  Use the link in the previous sentence.

Objective:  The goal of Nissi Project is to infiltrate secular media markets through donations made by those who support Christian morals, principles, and beliefs.  Donations will function as a means to purchase billboards, bus advertisements, taxi advertisements, web banners, airport advertisements, and other successful marketing/advertising vehicles in major market areas such as Dallas/Fort Worth, San Francisco, Washington D.C. (subways), New York, Boston, etc...so that we can place the best ad on Earth on such vehicles, The Bible.

What will we put on them?:  The BIBLE.  We will place verses and phrases directly from The Bible anywhere we can.  Mind you, we will calculate the ROI for each potential investment...i.e. no billboards in the middle of the Sahara. Nissi Project is staffed with creative people who believe that God is the Creator.  He made us in His image.  Consequently, we were intended to be creative by singing "new songs," coming up with new ideas which help others, creatively encouraging one another, and innovatively and corporately battling the enemy, etc. We are actively pursuing creative Christian minded, Biblical-worldview people for the production of ads and marketing pieces to produce Nissi Project merchandise (t-shirts, Bible covers, tracts, stickers), technology engineers to help implement the ideas for a website that is unlike any other, and artists/musicians to help get the name out to the public.  We desire to function as the body of Christ should, in one accord, one Spirit, altogether collaborating on changing this world.

Why?  Imagine this by taking a second to contemplate the impact that placing Scripture creatively on outdoor advertisements and on web banners could have.  If the Word does not return void then why not do it?  Christians would be encouraged and non-believers would confront the Truth.  Everyone wins!  Hopefully everyone would realize that we are doing this for them. You may know that organizations such as the ACLU would like to eradicate our Christian heritage and make us into a secular/socialist country.
If over 80% of the US population professes to be a Christian, then how do organizations such as the ACLU and secular progressive beliefs pervade our society and have such an impact in our daily lives.  There is not one answer, but I will say one side has fought harder than the other. Examples of culture deterioration are evidenced by the disallowing of The Ten Commandments to be displayed publicly, people say "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas," Senators no longer feel the need to swear in on the Bible before beginning their term, and God was taken out of schools before many of us knew that there was such a thing.  Many Americans have dropped the ball and fell victim to being apathetic and lethargic.  Mainly because they believed they could not make a difference.  Statistics show that this is why many people do not vote. My thoughts are that there have to be more people like me who desire to help change things.  If we do not try to do anything then it will inevitably get worse.  Our government works on checks and balances as do cultural situations.  If a group of people determines that change is necessary then it adopts an identity.  Usually the idea gains momemtum.  Next, you have a tipping point. YOU must choose which side you would like to be identified with...we are guilty by association. Whose side are you on?

The Nissi Project crew is currently exploring different options for funding.  We are looking into producing a fundraiser which would include underground Christian artists, spoken word poets, graffiti artists, and the ideas just begin there.  We are in the process of negotiating a contract with the publishers of the NIV Bible so that we can use their version.  We are also exploring other versions and different forms of displaying the material.  We will need all the support we can get.  So stay tuned and alert and sober as the Word says.

We'll be coming to San Francisco...and to Boston... and to the WWW...and to Dallas giving the XXX superstores everywhere one less billboard to put their trash on.  Same idea will be applied to the WWW so that when you check your webmail you will not have to look at a girl wearing a bikini asking you if you are single and do you need a date.  Enough with the trash, NISSI PROJECT is coming to a laptop, neighborhood, and city near you.
