i have made the focus of this website centered on the history of the stewart family and the beginnings of gingolx
the request to include other nisgaa communities i have left reserved for those who live in those communities who know more about the history of their community.
it is the history of the nisgaa community of gingolx situated on the mouth of the nass river on the northwestern coast of canada, an interesting historical account from the perspective of a nisgaa and how the community was founded and established to be one of the first christian native communities in north america in the 1800's
HOPEFULLY OTHER NISGAA FAMILIES WILL FOLLOW SUIT AND CREATE A HISTORY OF THEIR ROOTS FOR THE FUTURE GENERATION.
ITS THE LANGUAGE ,THE CULTURE,THE TRADITIONS AND THE LABOUR OF LOVE THAT OUR ANCESTORS LEFT US THAT WE MUST PERSERVE.

LISMS IS WHAT IS NOW KNOWN AS THE NASS RIVER SITUATED ON THE NORTHWESTCOAST OF CANADA.
THE NISGAA ARE THE FIRST PEOPLES OF THE LISMS
THE NISGAA HAVE LIVED ON LISMS FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS
(thats is what scientist are verifying )
THERE ARE FOUR COMMUNITIES ON LISMS WHERE THE NISGAA PRESENTLY RESIDE
THE ONE I GREW UP ON AND AM FROM IS CALLED GINGOLX
GINGOLX IS SITUATED ON THE ENTANCE OF LISMS
UP THE RIVER THERE ARE 3 OTHER LISMS COMMUNITES
