Weekly programs can be categorized as follows:

Cross Channel: The duration of this program is 25 minutes, it sheds light on important issues through presenting the American view of those issues in a dialogue via a satellite link between Egypt and Washington.

On the spot: The duration of this program is 10 to 15 minutes. It is shot on the location of a certain event where a dialogue with the guest is initiated to shed light on the event at hand & its location.

Live : It is a talk show which continues for 45 minutes. It spotlights various political, social & artistic issues by presenting an in-depth analysis of those issues. 

Interview: It is a live program which continues for 45 minutes. It tackles a certain problem or issue in the Arab world or the world in general by spotlighting the views of the guest. It is a phone-in program & viewers can phone in to voice their comments.

Events & Comments: The duration of this program is 10 to 15 minutes, it discusses an important event through presenting a special report about it & hosting one or more prominent figures. That event is the topic of the program & the guest sheds light on it.

  Hot Line: This program presents a debate with a prominent Arab figure on the phone for 10 minutes.

 

  1. Forums:

Arab Affairs: It is a live program ( duration : 50 min. ). It tackles the most important issues which concern the Arab world. Those issues are discussed by the guests of the program & the viewers who phone in to pose their questions about the topic of the program.

To the Point: It is a live program ( duration : 50 min. ). This program presents an in-depth analysis of some problem & issues through hosting some guests who spotlight the roots of the problem & the means of solving it on air.

Cairo Watch:It is a live program ( duration : 50 min. ). This program hosts some guests to underline a certain contemporary issue & analyze it.

Mondays: This is a talk show ( duration : 50 min. ). This program sheds light on a certain political, economic or cultural issue & its viewers can phone in to pose their question on air.

Open to Question: It is a live program ( duration : 45 min. ). It is presented by 2 anchors; the first anchor is in the studio, he receives the phone calls & faxes which are sent to the program with questions about a current political issue while the second anchorman runs the interview with a prominent guest at the location of that guest. A mobile broadcast unit links the two anchors.

Front line: It is a live program ( duration : 40 min. ). It sheds light on important contemporary issues through a debate between two guests who have different views.

 

The programs of news analysis:

African Affairs: The duration of this program is 15 minutes, it presents a through analysis & commentary on African affairs through shedding light on the events of the week in African countries with regard to politics, economy & social affairs.

Seven Days: This program is 8 minutes long, it presents an in-depth analysis of the most important events of the week in Egypt.

Events of the week: The duration of this program is 15 minutes. It spotlights the most important world events of the week. It also presents a video recording of each event.

News Makers: This program continues for 10 minutes, it sheds light on a political figure who had a great impact on the events of the week.

Online: The duration of this program is 15 minutes. It highlights the latest events in events in Egypt & the world on the Internet.

A.     Market Report: This program continues for 12 to 15 minutes & presents a weekly report on the Egyptian stock exchange & the latest economic developments.

 

·        Sports Programs:

A.     Nile League: The duration of this program is 15 minutes, it sheds light on important matches. It also presents interviews with some players especially during the matches between the national team & foreign teams.

 

·        Entertainment & Culural Programs:

A.     Nile Hits: A 45 minutes program that features the latest Egyptian & Arab video clips, with quick briefs on super stars and their latest news. B. Opera Nights: A 20 minutes program that presents the beautiful classical musical events that takes place at the Cairo Opera House. Viewers get the chance to enjoy parts of the classic music and dancing arts presented by Egyptian and international singers, bands and folkloric troops.

C. Cross Cultures: A 15 minutes program that presents any cultural events held in Egypt by Arab or Foreign countries. The main aim of the program is to present the culture of the other and share it with them in order to open a cultural dialogue amongst people so as to get to know each other in a better way.

  

·        Tourist Programs:

A.     Tourism Magazine: This program continues for 15 minutes, it sheds light on the latest news of tourism, tourist attractions in Egypt & the conferences, projects & plans which aim to boost tourism in Egypt.

B.     Caravan: This program continues for 15 to 20 minutes. It presents interviews with tourists who are visiting Egypt in the areas of monuments and tourist attractions.

C.     Touristica: This program continues for 20 minutes. It sheds light on the most beautiful places of historic interest & monuments in Egypt. It presents the historical background of each place & the nature of its environment. It points out why the place has become a tourist attraction site.

 

·        Documentaries:

NILE TV International produces documentaries averaging 10 to 45 minutes in length. They are produced periodically to help the channel to achieve its goals at the political, informative, cultural & tourist levels.

 

·        Instant News Coverage:

NILE TV International keeps its local & international phone lines open & anchormen prepare instant reports on important events from the location of the event if they can reach it quickly or they can contact a prominent figure or experts & analysts who are interested in those events.
