Summer Training

Summer is now here and with it the I-Runs training programs for marathons and half marathons.  The Niles group meets in the Bunker Hill Forest Preserve at 7:00 a.m. on Saturdays for our the weekend long runs.  We have experienced group leaders for all pace groups from 8:30 minutes per mile through 12:00 minutes per mile, broken by 30 second intervals.

During the summer training program I will be sending weekly emails out to all of the I-Runs participants at Niles.  These emails will include the weekly mileage, training tips and runner updates on race results and personal achievements.

Running with us in not solely about the running it is also about friendship and support for each other.  During your long runs you will get to know the people around you pretty well.  But we do not want it to end there which is why we often will go out for a fun breakfast after a run.
