. . . . is Home. A warm, safe place of the heart.

We shout out our anger, yet, whisper our hopes

Perhaps, it should be the other way around?

Update as of 07/09/2009

My personal dedication to the passing of my best friend and his father Family of Brothers is now in my blog. Please, take time to read it. If not to discover a few of the mysteries of life, then to honour two very special people in my life.

Recently, three peope passed away. Each, in their way had an impact on people's lives. The following is more blog like but I wanted it to be known and read in as manyplaces as possible. After you read it, I think you'll understand why.

As we attempt to turn an extremely talented singing pedophile into a saint, it seems that other people also passed who had things to say in their lives. A talented actress used her passing with cancer as a statement of life and how others may learn to fight their way through its horrors but instead of her message being broadcast to the sick of the world, she was turned into a footnote on the back page of the newspaper.

Another woman passed away recently. Not famous by any means but she also touched people's lives. Not in a way the minstrel did, and, not with the same courage the actress did. No, much simpler, and, of much deeper ways. She didn't make me wish for a better place. She didn't make me think life was simple and could be solved by pretending something that wasn't.

No. She taught me how to survive. How to care for myself and others. How to be a real person, with real problems, and real laughter. I will miss her greatly and I know there are millions of others out there, like her, that are being missed right now for who they were and what they taught their children. Honour them in your hearts and don't be fooled by the wizardry of media and manipulators. Love is close to home. True sadness is close to home. The secret to the joy of living is close to home.

Rest in Peace Mom from a loving son.
