They dresse in dark siuts and turban, a young indian lawyer whos name is Mohandas Gandhi went in the trian at Durban, in South Africa. As he sat down in the train some people approached him. They asked him to go to the back compartment.

Back in the 1890s South Africa had laws that "coloured" travelers had to sit apart from whites. Gadhi siad "but I have the first-class ticket!" the official said "but that doesn't matter. . . . I shall have to call a police constable to push you out". Gandhi refused to get out voluntarily.

The police forced Gadhi from the train. As he sat down in the cold train station he thought of what had happened. He saw how the injustices suffered by indians.
