NIGHTMARES AND NIGHTSTALKERS

1:6 HORROR/ SCI FI CUSTOM ACTION FIGURE FUN

1:6TH HORROR PROP SUGGESTIONS

A quick tip to start spooking up your horror shelves are these awesome gothic crucifix statues I picked up at Hobby Lobby to turn my shelf into a make-shift cemetary. I stumbled across them at the end of the summer season and they were clearanced 80% off, so I was getting crosses normally between $19.99 and $14.99  for $5.98-$2.90! Even if you're not lucky enough to get them on clearance, they generally have things like this year round (just more during summer for their garden section). What the heck would someone want small crosses for their garden for, their own pet cemetary?

Other cool props for a horror theme which I know a lot of people have already done, that I particularly think fits in awesome with X-Files and Hellboy,  is the "Family of Freaks" freakshow accessories in the jars, from McFarlanes "Clive Barker's Infernal Parade" action-figure line from 2004. These might still be found in some of the few remaining Suncoasts or online. If not,  E-bay.

Here's a pic from Spawn.com of them. The item in the round jar is half a goats head. :)

REPAINTS

I'll use this area to show up touch-ups I did to existing 12" dolls.

"THIS IS WHO WE ARE"

I recently re-painted my "X-Files" Frank Black's hair from grey to red like it was in "Millennium" (Paint- Americana Decoart "Rookwood Red"). I like how it turned out. I still can't find any of any of my paints since I moved, but the next stage will be to try and shade in all of his wrinkles and face-lines to see if they can be brought out more, then maybe repaint the eyes so he's not walleyed.
