    The book of Luke as sited here brings us to one of our first points to make and that is to prepare. Long gone are the days of swords and a trusty wooden shield, they have given way to no less valid means of protection. The following is a required basic list, and not in anyway a complete list of things you should have available.

AR-15 chambered for the .223 Rem / 5.56MM NATO cartridge

1911 .45cal Pistol

7 30 rd magazines for the AR-15

5 8+ rd magazines for the 1911

Bible

500 rds .223/5.56

200 rds .45 (recommend 230gr round nose)

Load bearing equipment LC1/LC2 or vest equivalent will need to have the following: Magazine pouches able to hold six thirty round AR-15 mags, Four 1911 mags, Two 2qt canteens or 72oz or greater water bladder i.e. camelback. Pouch for carrying misc. items.

Rucksack, size large

Duty/Field Uniforms: Two sets of the tri-color DCU, four sets of the Vietnam-era tiger stripe complete with both boonie hat and patrol cap.

Boots: One pair jungle black or green, one pair desert tan, one pair all leather combat (Black)

Socks: Six pair O.D. green

T-Shirts: Six each brown or black

Underwear: Six days supply

Weapons cleaning kits for both weapons

Flash light with red lens

Batteries for flashlight

Matches

First aid kit

Personal hygiene items i.e. shaving kit

Sleeping bag

Sleeping mat

Entrenching tool

Tent/Shelter can be purchased mil. surplus for less than $20.00

Lensatic compass

5 days non-perishable food MRE equivalent
