Hi, welcome to my website which is basically my birding diary!
Currently based in West Sussex in sunny England, I enjoy regular trips out where time allows and have found that birding has taken me to places I would never dreamed of going.

Well, Instead of heading for the sunny climate of Cyprus, I spent a week on sunny Portland in Dorset, and had a excellent weeks birding with Glen and co, see my report in my 2007 diary, special thanks goes out to Martin and all the crew at the 'obs' who are not only accommodating but excellent company...keep up the good work!! So i am still here in the very unsettled month of May in the U.K. and have been very fortunate to see Eurpean Nightjar and Woodcock just a few miles from where I am living so alls not too bad!

Common Redstart - Portland - Dorset - May 2007(more pics Diary 2007 page)
For people that have visited this site before I have changed the lay-out and freshened things up a bit. I have added a interesting sightings page for London and the Surrey regions found on the latest sightings page so if you have any local sightings please e-mail them to me and I will publish them on this site. I try and keep this up-dated as often as possible.I have also added a photo's of UK birds, also photo's taken in Donana page and have added plenty more photo's. Also the guestbook is there for you to leave your comments etc.
So, I have already met up with some birding pals Glen Maddison, Danny Cooper, Gary Messenbird and Seth Gibson and getting out as much as I can at mo with trips to Portland, Sheppey, Cornwall already visited in 2007 with good birds seen already Rough-Legged Buzzard and Yellow-Browed Warbler, White-Billed Diver, Spotted Sandpiper, Franklin's Gull just to name a few, read all about these trips on my diary 2007 page. Glen, Danny and Seth had been year-listing in 2006 and done pretty well for themselves. As with every year I have kept a yearlist and along with the others we have entered oursleves onto surfbirds 2007 B.O.U yearlist just for a bit of fun!

Spotted Sandpiper - Hayle Estuary - Cornwall - March 2007
This web-site is basically my birding diary that I would like to share with those who are interested! Most of my birding in 2005+2006 has been in Cyprus where I gained knowledge of a local site near to where I was based and mainly discovered my own birds, exciting stuff!
My diary pages take you through previous years birding where I have encountered many lifers in the U.K. including Baltimore(northern)Oriole, Grey-Cheeked Thrush, Great-Spotted Cuckoo, Least, Bairds + Western Sandpiper, Sardinian Warbler, Little Bittern(above), Two-Barred Crossbill, Pallas's Warbler, Hume's Yellow-browed, Icterine + Dusky Warbler,Red-Rumped Swallow, Pied and Desert Wheatear, American Robin, Surf Scoter, Lesser Yellowlegs, Dusky Warbler, Pine+Little Bunting and Franklin's, Laughing, Kumlien's, Iceland and Glaucous Gull, Whiskered + White-Winged Black Tern, Spotted Crake, Bluethroat, Sociable Plover and Cattle Egret were all seen.
Although a lot of U.K. twitching was done in 2003+2004, I now want to broaden my birding experiences by travelling abroad, with the plan of seeing species in their original habitats etc aswell as taking in a bit of local birding.
