Nick Perrin

Music for Games & Film

Bio

Nick Perrin

Nick was born and raised in Toronto, Canada.

Nick is a composer, arranger, pianist and acapella vocal percussionist, drawing upon musical influences from a wide variety of genres. His work ranges from orchestral fusion to intimate solo piano work. Additionally, his involvement in the video game industry inspires creative work in “chiptune” music. He has studied music at the university level, scored games, short film and animation, produced orchestral arrangements, performed live and more. His belief is that a good score should be great in its own right, and never generic or forgettable.

He is a part of award-winning audio and music team Symphony of Specters and now works with the team on a variety of projects.

As a beatboxer, Nick has performed at Toronto venues such as The Docks Nightclub and Zemra Bar & Lounge. He beatboxed with his university's acapella group The Caledonias, and has done several solo performances in the Kingston area including Stages nightclub and Zorba's, even performing in schools, cruise boats, and running a beatbox workshop at a local youth centre.
