How the Police ranking system works: Security Guard: 400-499 B/P* Police Officer: 500-999 B/P* Police Sergeant: 1000-1499 B/P* Police Lieutenant: 1500-1999 B/P* Police Captain: 2,000-2,499 B/P*
*B/P means total Blam/Protect points Once you exceed 2,499 Blam/Protect points, you recieve the rank of (Elite Guard) Private. As an elite guard, you will be honorably discharged and be awarded full recommendation from the NGPD should you choose to continue on serving with the Elite Guard, who will welcome you with open arms.
Any registered member of Newgrounds is eligible to join the ranks of the NG Police Headquarters, provided they meet the following criteria: Blam/Protect points (between 400-2,499 b/p points), minimum of 50 posts, and satisfactory overall posting quality. If you do not pass all three categories, you may not join the NGPD. However if you do pass, you will then begin with the second step, the Apprenticeship. This is a probation period where we examine how you do as a member of the NGPD (more info about this in the FAQ - READ IT).
We do not have a whistle requirement. Rather than turning you down for a garbage whistle, we will try to help you improve it if you wish to do so. This is especially important if you are looking forward to joining the EGB since they will turn down applicants with garbage whistles. The Barracks require applicants to have a minimum of a bronze whistle in order to join.
NGPD Roster List
Rosters are records of each member currently on the NGPD member list, which also including apprentices. These records display the amount of b/p they've collected since the previous roster, their daily avg. of b/p points earned, apprentices still on probation, promotions, and discharges. These rosters are an effective way to keep track of how well you're serving the portal and how you measure up against other fellow cops! We encourage people to compete for the weekly top 5 gainer and getting their victorious e-cock sucked, as long as everyone's a good sport. It's also part of our tradition for there to be a random wikipedia article for potentially educational entertainment! YAY!

Observations on the Spammer By SpiffyMasta
The Spammer is an interesting creature. It roams the wild jungles of
the Newgrounds Flash Portal, sometimes popping its curious head in the
BBS forums. Mostly nocturnal, this creature feeds on the hatred of the
regular users. It's main purpose in life, seems at times indescribable,
but some researchers believe that it seeks simply to pollute the Portal
and cause trouble to those who pay attention to it.
It prowls for prey mostly at night, creating traps for viewers by
writing lengthy and evolved descriptions, often boosting the size of
the flash trap to lure more viewers. It then attacks with strobing
lights or endless scenes of homosexuality or penises.
While often provoking the common commenter, the Spammer seems to
often make no sense whatsoever, often relying on a dialect commonly
know only to Spammers, the KeyboardSmasher. Many researchers have
attempted to translate these cryptic messages in vain, only to be
distraught by the endless number of non patterning letters. Researchers
then concluded that maybe their cryptic language was simply like a
continuous pi number, never repeating.
While there are no known ways to rid the world of this species, many
seem to believe that simply ignoring these creatures often causes them
to turn on themselves and self-destruct.
