Daniel Lonie



Currently Director of Orchestras at North Garland MST and Walnut Glen Academy for Excellence. Previously he was director at Jackson and Webb Middle Schools and taught award winning orchestras at both Kimberlin Academy and Austin Academy. He has lead the T.M.E.A. Region 3 Orchestra division twice as Chairman. Mr. Lonie founded the G.I.S.D. Annual Fall Stringfest. He has been on the faculty of three National Blue Ribbon Award winning schools. He is a professional violist and a published composer. He is a member of the American String Teachers Association with National School Orchestras Association, the Texas Music Educators Association, and the Texas Orchestra Directors Association. He was recently elected to membership in the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers. Mr. Lonie enjoys gardening, oil painting, and travel.
