The Nutter Fort Volunteer Fire Department is located in Harrison County, WV and was established in 1927. We respond to an average of 700 calls per year, being one of the busiest volunteer fire departments in the county, ranging from fires, car accidents, medical emergencies, and other wide varieties of calls. We currently have a roster of 35 volunteer firefighters and 9 pieces of equipment. Our first due response area consists of 88 square miles of mixed residential, rural, and commercial development as well as 3 miles of Interstate 79. We strive to provide the best fire protection possible to the citizens of Nutter Fort, Quiet Dell, and other surrounding communities. We are one of the most respected and professional departments in the county, providing mutual aid to all of our county's 14 other volunteer fire departments. We are hoping in the near future to purchase a new 75' Seageave Meanstick to replace our aging 72 as well as purchasing a new engine and not to mention an expansion and remodeling of our firehouse. If you are interested in becoming a member stop by on any Monday night at 7 PM and pick up an application.
