Textmaps have a story ...
In the autumn of 1991, I was in a bender on Redlake Drove, down on the Somerset Levels near Somerton.
I was at least a half mile from the nearest other traveller, and tucked away. During a 'Green Man' spell [of time] I 'chanced' to consult a dictionary to clarify in my mind the word 'weird'. But I had recently come across a paperback copy of The Concise Dictionary of English Etymology by Walter W Skeat. The combination was mind-blowing. All my life I had been seeking true magic. That day I found it. In the most unexpected of places ... a dictionary.
Is wasn't long before I found I was looping words together on paper as a means of double-checking how close their similarities in meaning tied together.
I must have used nearly ten reams of paper over the years, sketching, resketching and finally drawing up wordlore textmaps.
It began like this ...

... and this ...

... but it progressed ...

... and ...

... and ...
... and I'll add even more when inspired [and scanned] ...
