Home of the New Zealand White

2. Now at 4 wks of age my kits will sit comfortable
in my hand whilst this youngster was in my hand
I was able to take several photos .

3. At 6 to 7 weeks old I now encourage the youngsters
to approach me.During all my training I am
               continualy talking to my rabbits

4. This youngster is 9 weeks old and has climbed
onto my arms and shoulder of on its own volition
this was a routine I had to go through every feed
or cleanout session. All this early training is
designed to build confidence and remove any fear
               of being handled.

 5. This is where the the serious side of show training
starts I transport my youngster to their early shows
in open wire basket carriers so their ealy training
is in these first I leave them in open carriers this
is done a couple of times a week whilst I am in the
shed I leave them for 1/2 hour or so they soon settle
to this and spend most of the time looking around and
and being nosey looking to see what I am doing.this is
done when the youngster are about 8 wks old
