New World Campaign Setting

Welcome to the New World Campaign Setting site for 4th Edition Dungeons and Dragons.

Visit the site forums here.

The New World Campaign Setting is set, for the most part, on the Lost Plane of Creation. Sometimes characters may leave the Lost Plane and visit the Shadowfell, Feywild or any other plane but all campaigns and adventures begin on the Lost Plane.

This website is intended for player and DM's alike to find information on the New World. So far only play by post campaigns have been run, but hopefully, that will change soon.

Here is a comprehensive guide to the New World Campaign Setting. If you'd like to play or DM in the setting, please read it.

NWCS Version 1.002

Please note which version you have because I will be updating it as needed. All information on the setting needed should be in the document, if you have any questions or additions, post on the forums.

*RECRUITING PLAYERS*

As always, the New World is looking for DMs and players. Post on the forums and join in on the fun. We currently are running three separate campaigns. Hopefully we will be starting a new 3.5 edition campaign set in Valefor's Moor. I (DM Nik) will be working on a getting a new 4th edition adventure going at some point after the Questions campaign.

Current Campaigns

4th Edition:

Questions to the Lady Saharel: A play by post campaign set in the year 112 N.R. A group of adventures who all need a question answered set off for the ruined city of Spellgard looking for the the prophetic visions of the mystical Lady Saharel. After much battling and a not so easy route through some wererats and gnomes, the group has finally reached the Scepter Tower, but still no sign of the Lady Saharel.

The Darkenfel: A play by post campaign also set in the year 112 N.R.  Background information for this game can be viewed at: The Darkenfel.    The adventurers will explore the vast caverns of The Darkenfel and perhaps discover the secret of a new and mysterious tower in the area.  It is an open-ended game like many table-top games you are familiar with.  This game is run by Agrabaeus Moredhel from the Lady Saharel campaign, and who you might know as Corey Desmund from the New Hope campaign, Groqx from Dwarf Meet Ogre campaign, and that comical Sprite from the Nature's Riddle's campaign.

3.5 Edition

Nature's Riddles: The Quest for Balance: We are finally finishing the last battle! A play by post campaign set in the year 1 N.R. dealing with a situation with the local wildlife that is disrupting the new elven city of Silthanost, turns horribly bad. The high priest of the elves turns to a worshipped of Ashlardon and a group of heroes try to put a stop to him to save the Elven Valley and the city of Silthanost.

Finished Campaigns

New Hope Campaign: A play by post campaign set in the year 1 N.R. detailing the exploits of a group of heroes that were part of the initial landing of the humans on Karthin and ventured into the Sunless Citadel and made peace with the kobolds of Karthin.

Dwarf Meet Ogre, Ogre Meet Dwarf: A one on one play by post campaign detailing the critical time period for the ogre city Ooshthal Tirig when the new dwarves discover it. Set in the year 29 N.R. It came to a climatic end when the heroes of the New Hope Campaign sieged the city.
